How many years did you spend learning Japanese till you decided to go to Japan? And how old were you when you started to learn? I'm 15 and very mmuch interested in exchanging to Japan but I still need to learn the language so there isnt a HUGE language barrier when I'm there.

Those dogs were SOOO cute. I love how the second one wouldn't do one of those tricks. What was he/she supposed to do anyways? Was your host mom saying "fuse"? I ended up making it into "fusen" in my head because that was the most similar word that I know, but I can't imagine anyone expecting a dog to imitate a balloon or anything. :) I'm studying abroad this summer in Japan. Part of it is a homestay, and I hope that I can stay with a family with pets too!
