  • @residentmagnum Do you mean Banastre Tarleton? I agree. He wasn't nearly so villainous as the fictional character based on him. And Francis Marion wasn't nearly so noble. Both of them were somewhere closer to the centre; people who were sometimes selfish and made mistakes. I often wish the movie had been closer to the truth. Not having an obvious "good guy" is a lot more fascinating.
