I remember learning about the sad news of Jacob's accident. I teach at the elemenatry school Jacob attended. It seemed so tragic that his life was shortened, but I have learned that God sees the larger picture and your life, Dyamond, is one more indication of the Truth. What a gift life is! (Ephesians 2:8-10) Heroes, like Jacob, bring hope to our crazy world. Even though real life is full of trouble, God is still in control, and He will help us. Amazing!
I teach in the middle school Jacob attended. Eight months after his accident my wife and I lost a 4 week old in a car accident of our own. Due to the nature of Chaz's injuries and death we were only able to donate his heart valves. We have since heard that they have been used but that type of donation rarely results with the donor and recipient ever meeting. Your story gives me hope that we might someday meet those whose life Chaz was able to help as Jacob was yours. Your story is truly amazing.
