Hi temickab! Thanks for watching and i will try to help you as best i can. There are some great videos about hair type on here and you can also google " determining my hair type" and see what pops up too. I know that has been a mystery for me as well for so long and when i think i have figured it out, i read something different! Best thing to do is just try your hardest to keep your hair moisterized no matter what your type is and then it will grow to it's full potential. Hope that helps some :)

How many inches of new growth do you think you have? It all depends on what you are trying to do if the relaxer isn't all out like cut it off or wear a "protective style". Uh thanks i guess. My hair is actually longer than what it appears, natural hair shrinks and with some people (like me), shrinkage is killer. My hair is shoulder length. well, you know i always loved the texture and rich thick look of your natural hair...i believe it was the best decision you could have made for a healthier head of hair. i just got my ends clipped AAUG! i hate it when people get sizzor happy..dog gone it..lol she didnt cut a whole lot, but enough!! after the ends are gone it feels like you lost so much growth ;-( oh well, hopefully it will make it grow faster now...
You bc'd a few weeks after me and your hair is longer than mine('bout an inch) but that's my fault, wasnt doing protective styles, rarely deep conditioning, not getting trims on a regualr basis, etc. Now I'm doing much better and will continue to do much better. Hooray for me.

I love these products by Essential Organic Balms!! You have to order them online which is the only bad part, unless you love near a retailer. I love shea butter too. I am often amazed when i watch them (lol). I didn't transition although i wanted to. I got micros and they were hell on my head and hair! I kept them in for a whole 2 DAYS! Well "congrats!!" on your decision :). I started off with the amount of new growth you have right now, only i didn't have any relaxer cuz i had to BC. One word, microbraids! They are the devil!! Anyway, there are a lot of great product vids, but it is hard to say what will work because our hair is so diff from the next. Just make sure you get a good conditioner to do co-washes!! Conditioner makes your hair so soft and manageable. That helped me a lot. I only use all natural products too.

Well thankyou!! I always twist on dry hair because my hair is super curly-coily so i don't see much of it's length. I did it wet one time and after that i use to blow it out, then i discovered i could get the same effect minus the heat, by just letting it air dry then i would use some shea butter to twist it. I have thought about trying it wet again, but don't know just yet! I want to do a rod set next though! I am about to post another vid where i did a wash and go using Giovanni gel.

Lol!! Thanks so much and yes it is a twist out. My hair is super curly coily and i have hellified shrinkage so my hair draws up so much so i have to twist it to get the length. My hair still doesn't show the full length even then! It is crazy. My husband cut my hair (lol). Oh, do you mean the "trim"? That was a barbershop where the only girl in there happened to be natural and she was not there that day. I let this dude cut it that cut it when i was relaxed. Big mistake!! I now trim my own hair!

I am doing well! I hope you and your family are doing well also. I have been a little busy preparing for my mid-term and entrance exam that is tomorrow and Saturday. I cannot wait for it to be over. :-)

Lol!! Thanks so much and yes it is a twist out. My hair is super curly coily and i have hellified shrinkage so my hair draws up so much so i have to twist it to get the length. My hair still doesn't show the full length even then! It is crazy. My husband cut my hair (lol). Oh, do you mean the "trim"? That was a barbershop where the only girl in there happened to be natural and she was not there that day. I let this dude cut it that cut it when i was relaxed. Big mistake!! I now trim my own hair!

Thankyou girl! Lol, it has come a long way and i am happy that it's growing. I am still regretting the "trim" i got a while back, that was at least 2-3 inches he took off!!

Thanks girl, i LOVE butterflies (lol). I bought the butterflies for like under $4 at Wal-Mart and took them off the hooks and put them on my hoops. Thought it might be cute :). Thanks for watching!
