How strange... sitting here watching this with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes..particularly from 1.30 onwards. Went there as a teenager in 1978 on a family holiday - but never been back.... Your video has stirred some very fond memories of that week so long ago - and the sandtrain on the beach at the end - well...'done me in!'. The power of such a simple video. Thanks so much for uploading this.
Never changes, but they did stop selling bb guns in the indoor market, shame. But this place is amazing. When I go I have to walk down that road they were driving down several times a day to the chalet park.
Why did they put the cinema without any where to park your car ? You have to either park on double yellows or up in the lonely cap park back of the sand dunes !!
Hahah, so true, never does change, every year theres a poorly modded pug 205 and an old range rover p38 parked in the exact same spot outside the amusements, but i bloody love this place lol.
2:15 this walk way on the right we used to call the up's and down's when I was a kid. I had my first kiss in those sand dunes...Mapplethorpe will always be a special place for me
@vintagevavoom What the fuck is this? an English exam? what the fuck does it matter if I miss-spelt a word you child molesting cretin. Is that what you do crawl around YouTube checking the spelling of those who comment?
I wish you and everyone you care about AIDS and a shit load of cancers, you inbred monkey faced waste of human tissue
@lcfchumelcfc There are a number of them open all year..... but they will all be open for Easter I'm sure ... Enjoy your trip and don't forget "Don't speak to strangers"
bk in 90s there was alot of heroin addicts about, sand dunes was there hotspot but now alot of them av moved on you will always get the same probalem no-matter were u live
what's the drug problem like in Mablethorpe? does it have many heroin addicts like most places or a lot of places at least? Im from Grantham and we have a drug problem as do many other places and i just wondered what it's like there in Mabelthorp after seeing it mentioned on the Jerremy Kyle show today when 1 lad said ''there's a lot of scanky people there''
