i think halo 3 campaign is one of the best campaign's i have ever played and yes i have played halo 1 and 2 campaign but i still dont think they are nowere near as fun as halo 3 campaign but thats just my opinion :)

@IBurningFuryI Haha I bought the collectors edition of Halo 3 at a yard sale for $5 and it works perfectly fine, is in great shape, comes in a nice painted metal case, includes the game itself, a Halo universe book that shows each race and description of them with each planet and population, includes a bonus behind the scenes disc with hours of game making footage and secret clips, bonus features, a few mini games, 6 themes for my Xbox dashboard, and over a dozen gamer pictures... well worth it!

@burritoboy726 if you are a true halo fan, you would appreciate halo wars. It tells yet another great story and is easy enough for anyone to get into, even if you are not familiar with RTS games. I think skipping halo wars would be missing out on an interesting new take on the universe. Also your point about ODST, the same goes for that. ODST is, in my opinion, the best halo campaign just because of what Bungie did with a new character and making it fit perfectly into the fiction.

I miss this game so much. It was one of the first games, outside of Gears of War and Lost Planet, that truly made me enjoy the fact I owned a Xbox 360. Played this game so much, and I made some good friends in the multiplayer who I still talk to this day. The story was pretty fun, and man....good times. ODST was amazing as well, but it didn't feel the same. Reach...while I admit it's an amazing game, it literally broke my Xbox 360. So...kinda indifferent. I miss Halo 3!
I think Halo 3 was OK, maybe 80-85% but definitely not almost perfect XD omg that's overrated much. Online is fun but the campaign was so repetitive. You kill the same couple of enemies over and over again, graphics are average and the story is nothing special...

One thing I hate is u have to have all the dlc to play alot of good modes on matchmaking. It's reasonable because all my friends and everyone I know who has this game has odst and odst comes with all the multiplayer maps
If you ask me, the campaign was great. The cutscenes were epic. The sequences were epic. All of the levels were very wide open, which was really good. Besides the second to last level, the campaign was awesome. Just minor complaints gave this only a 9.5, but i do agree with IGN. Just think that if those were fixed up, it would of been at Least a 9.8
Actually,the flamethrower was available in halo CE multiplayer on the pc version.

I remember when my brother and I were playing the level in which the brutes took over the barracks. We were scared shit cause it was on legendary and we were noobs, but it was probabley the most fun ive had in gaming ever. I will always miss the glory days of halo 3.

It seems like ign knew how to review back then this is the best halo game ever and the storyline was lacking but it had awesome weapons duel wielding great multiplayer levels halo reach got rid of all the awesome weapons and duel wielding and good levels but that's justme forge world and the campaign were that games only achievements

It's a conspiracy that Bungie actually stopped making Halo games after 3. Ha yeah right, but it did take a nose dive after Halo 3 though. Reach wasn't that bad a campaign, but ODST...WTH was that?!

ive made lifelong friends in this game, as sad as it sounds LOL.
this is honestly the most fun ive had in ANY game, in my entire life, no other game, no halo 4, 5 ,or even 6 can live up to halo 3.

I miss this game so much. It was one of the first games, outside of Gears of War and Lost Planet, that truly made me enjoy the fact I owned a Xbox 360. Played this game so much, and I made some good friends in the multiplayer who I still talk to this day. The story was pretty fun, and man....good times. ODST was amazing as well, but it didn't feel the same. Reach...while I admit it's an amazing game, it literally broke my Xbox 360. So...kinda indifferent. I miss Halo 3!

I think Halo 3 was OK, maybe 80-85% but definitely not almost perfect XD omg that's overrated much. Online is fun but the campaign was so repetitive. You kill the same couple of enemies over and over again, graphics are average and the story is nothing special...

One thing I hate is u have to have all the dlc to play alot of good modes on matchmaking. It's reasonable because all my friends and everyone I know who has this game has odst and odst comes with all the multiplayer maps

If you ask me, the campaign was great. The cutscenes were epic. The sequences were epic. All of the levels were very wide open, which was really good. Besides the second to last level, the campaign was awesome. Just minor complaints gave this only a 9.5, but i do agree with IGN. Just think that if those were fixed up, it would of been at Least a 9.8
