I just saw this tonight --- I'm exhausted, so I can't right as extensive a review as I'd like, but I just have to say, I'm still ruminating on the magnificent performances by each and every cast member -- and your amazing orchestra. Captivating staging -- while it is minimalistic, it does not draw your eye away from the most important aspect of the opera...the actors themselves. The bizarre perspectives only enhance the display. Everyone was amazing...I'm absolutely hooked! My first opera!
Yes, really wonderful voices, first of all the fantastic tenor, Gianluca Terranova, who is our absolute favorite, we are travelling everywhere, we can, to hear and see him in the opera. We have heard him 3 times live in the opera, Ìl Ballo di Maschara, La Boheme and Lucia di Lammermoor. He is terrific! We have got already the tickets for two of his performances in Torino/Italy, next year. I wish you `jaypiko` an unforgettable performance, looking forward of your videos in YouTube!
Sounds like you've got some great voices (Having met and heard Sarah Coburn live as Gilda, I can attest to at least that one!). The setting is interesting, almost minimalistic but yet intriguing with its pastels. Seems to have... haunting irony in its playful, almost pageant-like frivolity as a ground for the tragedy upon which the plot centers.
Mi piace!
