I can tell you positively that this music appeared at the opening of FIDDLER in its theatrical releases and its first television showings. I am pretty sure it was composed by John Williams, who was the musical director on that film. If you'll note, the final brass chord of this logo music is exactly the same as at the end of the ending credits.
With all the logo spoofs that have been posted here, I wonder what it would be like to have either of these little-known UA jingles synched up to the current UA logo - I think they both have the same amount of screen time so that they could mesh.

I believe it was used for the remaining Depatie-Freleng cartoons between 1973 and 1977. I have no proof-but why not.
