The core story of this movie was not about its fighting spirits,it's about betrayal and dissapontment of being betrayed by your close trusted friend.

I adored Bruce when I was 6 years old,have watched Chuck Norris,Van Damme,Jacky Chan,Jet Li in different action movies and era .They are all good fighters w/ different skills,none to compare between each other skills.

Most entertaining were always Jet Li and Jacky Chan movies. They combine martial arts coreography, comedy n philosophy of life.

The fight scenes in this MOVIE are cherography fights--timed hits, no actual contact throughout the fights, wires, etc. Statham doesn t stand a chance against Jet Li. Jet Li has been in the Wushu arts since he was 8 years old. Statham was an athlete and yeah, he is an expert kick boxer and he hasn t competed in any tournaments. Jet Li would fight a real street fight, Statham would run! Statham=ACTOR, Jet Li=FIGHTER.

It's got nothing to do with the violence. If you pay attention Jet wanted to stop making the EPIC movies that he is famous for here in the west. He wanted to make more character based movies. These types of arguments have no end... In my opinion all martial arts are effective as long as its practitioners know how to adapt what they have learnt in a real fight where there are no rules. I've done Karate, Taekwondo, Kickboxing and a bit of aikido and I'm sure that anyone from either of these Martial Arts can be a great street fighter (not that I'm for fighting) if he knows how to adapt what he has learned into real world situations.
