  • those are so easy i dont know why i searched it while i allready know how to do it

  • @GalacticWarsPictures

In that video I am using a Luke ROTJ Force FX by Master Replicas, which at the time of the video was new.

  • when do you get to the darth maul moves?

  • @wowahmbored

Tutorial 16 begins the Saber Staff spins

  • @banditcar cool thanks!

  • is it a real lightsaber??

  • oooooooooooooohhhhhh i get how 2 do the spin

  • i dindnt show us how to do it step by step

  • damn it! Am I stupid!? I mean I can not manage the "cross over" the basic spin is simple but than =(

  • Spin...Crossover...Spin...Crossover...Spin........God damit i can't do it

  • FUCK I CNAT DO IT!

  • Hello man, I been trying to find a video of how spin a lightsaber, finally I got it, thanks, but in the basic spin I can`t see good the movements that you do on your hand...can you give me a hand?

    thanks

  • Can I do it with a modified umbrella that have only the metal stick lool, cause how much is a normal saber supposed to weight and how long it is?

  • Gosh Im stuck on "spin" D:

  • yes they do boy

  • Wow, I haven't seen a 4 year old video on YouTube before O.O

  • not for failures like you atleast

  • It's similiar to spinning fire poi (The basic training with ropes is just as good to get your hands used to the movements). I'm so excited! I can't wait to try this ^.^

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzz see i can do it in my sleep

  • I can do this in my sleep...

  • i use a bo, or a shinai for now.

  • i use a real lightsaber

  • I use pvc pipe while practising it hurts less when i hit myself and i dont get blisters as much.

  • I use steel pipe lol :-P

  • I learned this entirely alone with various sticks and pipes i could find :P Alot of fun though :)

  • my hand is bruised and sore from practising these spins all day, but its WORTH it!!!! dude youre the best ive always wanted to be able to do things like this!!!!

  • My right hand got so sore after the first day of practicing these, that I could only use my left hand the next day. It was a good opportunity to get proficient with both hands. After a few days since starting, my hands still get a little sore, but it's getting easier.

  • it was just that the first thing i practiced with was so heavy that it bruised the side of my hand and it hurt to do it for days, but i couldnt get the hang of doing it with my left so i ignored the pain lol XD

  • lol we both have obi wans saber

  • That's Luke Skywalker's ROTJ Saber. Although except for the bronze-ish emitter attachment. I wouldn't notice. :P

  • you are correct i had to order this from england.

  • Really? They're everywhere here. Especially in Sharper Image.

  • Anybody else getting bruised hands from trying all these spins over and over? Maybe it has to do with me using a metal pole while I wait for my saber to come.

  • I had to tape my fingers because of blisters lolz

  • I think you need to have a relatively heavy object so you can use its momentum to make it back.

  • its easier to spin backwards first

  • i kept dropping my lightsaber!lol thanks anyways =)

  • do you have a dvd that you can buy?

  • man, grow up yourself

  • arent those spins called flourishes?

  • fuck lol this is simple?!

  • Thanks for those tutorials! I really love this kind of workout, perfect for a short break at the pc, also helps me to focus my thoughts :)

  • good video, 5/5 ^.^

  • Comment removed

  • you didn't give any details on how it is done :(

  • Sorry about that, this was my first tutorial and I did it so long ago, ahah.

The saber always stays in contact with my hand in the same position it starts in. Watch my hand...Start the motion of just letting the saber drop down infront of you and hold the saber between you thumb and forefinger while putting your hand out "palm up" the blade will be pointing down now and all you have to do is bring it around continuing the motion until it returns to the original position.

  • I still need more help!

is there anything else you can tell me?!

  • @specterkev It's not that hard lol

  • i still don't understand the basic spin, are you holding the saber when you rotate it...it's confusing

  • i dont have one I just use some of are pipes XD

  • hehe i make my own lightsaber by using the book-wrapper carboard and color it

  • hehe i have my new saber tomorow mornin=).

  • I saw all your Tutorials. At the beginning I thought you were just an amateur, a fan, but after watching the first ten tutorials, I realized you are an expert. Really great, I learned new movements that I cannot wait to prove with the lightsaber I'm going to buy! Thanks a bunch man!! ^^

  • Dammit there's never enough room in my house to practice! I've went through a bed, a wall, a glass table, and 5 lightsabers trying to perfect this move

  • let me see if I get this right something I do when I fight is ill do the cross over over and over like an X in front of me how would you block that easily if anyone did it to me

  • it really hard to do with the new darth vader one cause of the switch, which saber is being used here?

  • I'm using the ROTJ Luke, but It can be done with any saber, flashtube style or custom.

  • i dont even get past this lesson, have watched it like thousand times but can't see what he's doing :P

  • You're kidding, right? Paul couldn't have made it ANY easier to understand... and this is something that you can do on your own given time.

  • hehe, i got it, i was just watching the wrong way and didn't see the 2 fingers holding the hilt :P

  • hhahaha u funny as hell man lol

  • Thank you.

    One down...

  • you could make one video, one compilation of Saber Spin Tutorial

  • I did and put it on DVD for easier viewing. Check out my profile for more information.

  • Ok first one mastered. Don't you ever worry about breaking your saber?

  • You don't actually tell us how to do it though. You should have a zoom in on your hand or something. Also we can see you turning the camera off in your shadow that was funny lol.

  • What move does Obi wan and Anikan Do in episode three during there fight where they spin quick?

  • Yay!! Next time I'll have to beat the crap out of sum guy I'll look kickass awsome doing it! ;D

  • ya like frogmaster223 said, basicly the blade is a skinny lightblulb followed by coten for soft protection followed by thick glass like material and then plexiglass even with all that there still easy to break so only play with them outside on the grass so you dont hit anything and for a soft landing in case you drop it my anakin saber is in bad condintion after it got hit lots of times, lots of scrathes

  • Yes the FFX sabers are considered collectibles but they are good for light to medium dueling. If you want to get into heavy dueling then you have to upgrade the saber to a Luxeon LED and use a stronger polycarbonate blade. Most conversions let you make the blade removable too. For more info check out my profile and then my website link.

  • ya but the FX sabers are more "collectibles" than toys because they are made of metal on the hilt but only made of glass and plastic on the saber part so I wouldn't reccomend playing with them.

  • Xsear, it's a Master Replicas Force FX Lightsaber, probably the best lightsaber "toy" out there, except that it is life-sized. The sounds are not added on, it actually came with the saber, and is quite realistic, except the video messe dit up.

  • What kind of Lightsaber toy is that? Is it just a wooden stick with some stylish hilt and then the sounds added on computer or is it a normal plastic toy but with that ugly sound playing when on?

  • The saber is a Force FX lightsaer by Master Replicas. They are the official prop maker of Star Wars props. They retail for around $119 direct from Master Replicas website. The blade lights up with 64 LED's and has motion acivated sounds built in.

  • On that note, there are alternate sabers that are designed differently which are about 10x stronger and 2x as bright... search "Luxeon LED sabers" online, and you will begin to get an idea of what I mean.

  • Force Fx lgithsaber... more of a freakishly awesome collectible than a toy...

  • nice work

  • I've had such a demand for these tutorials that youtube won't cut it anymore and I'm in the middle of producing an instructional DVD that will be available soon

  • The point of it is that A LOT of people want to know how to do spins and tricks like they see in the movies. As with any kind of instruction, you have to start very simple with the basics and then you build upon that.

  • err what is the point of this?

  • No much to Know.. Only about spinning not about Lightsabers..

  • you no a lot about lightsabers

  • nice video man

  • Yes, that was I. Were you in a costume or did I get your name?

  • Thank you for posting these... I believe I met you at the Master Replicas function at Comic Con? I chatted with you on the way out and you mentioned your tutorials on here...
