  • mamasita te muves delicioso !!! rica sabrosaaaaaa!!!

  • @midnightsultan okay england didnt invent football...

  • Nice video.

  • i don't understand why you hide the name arab from arab traditions like arab dance called "belly dance" like arab music called "oriental" music and so on !!!

  • @kaiserarab That's because it's not just "Arab." The conglomeration of movements grouped together called "belly dance" come from all over North Africa, the Middle East, probably even India. In fact, *no one* can prove the exact root of this dance. Could be pre-Arabic North and East Africa, the Mediterranean etc.

  • Great promo/news video.

  • Middle Eastern dancing should be done by some one of Middle Eastern descent. Not some twerp from Boston.

  • that's true no offense

  • how come u didnt show ur bellybutton?

  • what's the song ? I loveee the song

  • it is impossible not to appreciate this girl a lot !

  • well said

  • omg i got my own hip scarf and i've been practicing check my vid out! tell me what you think?

  • I love being Lebanese...we got rhythm :) learn it

  • being hispanic myself, knowing the different styles of latin music gives me more of advantage to keeping up with the arabic dance rhythm. thankfully my lebanese boyfriends family is a big help in teaching me! :-P

  • aw thats so sweet, it gives you more of an advantage lets say compared to a white girl or even a black girl. But ur rhythm that u have is the rhythm of a Latin girl, not an Arabic girl or a Lebanese girl. So you can have rhythm but its all about having the correct rhythm the Arabian rhythm which isn't taught...but instead the person is born with it, u would have to be Arabic :P

  • Is being a racist a Lebanese thing too?

  • lol unfortunately racism is a problem that affects every single person believe it or not. Ur race or nationality doesn't define if ur racist...common sense. Sad to say its only racism when someone doesnt it to u, but when u do it to someone its not racism...im speaking in general & not literally lol. So every person is in fact a "racist"... so to answer ur ? no being a racist isnt a Lebanese thing ;)

  • its sad to say its only racism when someone does** it to u, but when u do it to someone its not racism...

  • you may be right in certain aspects but i've seen plenty of arabic girls dance where i actually had more arabian rhythm then they themselves had. :-). maybe not all arabic girls are born with it...and maybe some spanish girls actually are.. :-p

  • No I think maybe the more advanced Spanish dancers are better than the Arab girls that CANT dance, but the typical Arab girl that can dance is born with it ;) whereas u would have to be an "advanced" belly dancer as a Latina, the standards dont compare, belly dancing is Arabian. btw I love Salsa one of my best friends is a Latina its funny though lol that I had to teach her how to do salsa, it seems I had more rhythm in my body :P

  • maybe we should salsa together! lol could you imagine! lmao :-p

  • Why not I love ethnic music, hip shaking. Im telling you with english music I always end up some how dancing Arabic to it lol. Salsa is cool its nice between 2 people but what I like about belly dancing is you dont need a partner & there are no rules u just have to move right :P

  • im sorry but thats the biggest bullshit ive heard your saying you have to be Arabic to have great rythm in bellydancing???

i suggest you go and look at sadie shes amazing!!

  • i think what amortliban is tryin to say is every1 has a rhythm of their own each culture. Arabic girls are better at bellydancing cuz its their dance. i checked out sadie that girl looks like she's havin a seizure lol why dont u check out yousra hanem lebanese, nagwa fouad egyptian, amani lebanese or najwa jamal lebanese? or samia gamal egyptian

  • i dont really think any of them compare to Sadie

  • Sadie is not a real belly dancer she is too rehearsed and her moves are too harsh, its not flowing and delicate. I must admit she can move certain parts of her body really well but as a whole she doesnt flow right, belly dance isnt who can shake their butt the fastest its based on the entire thing how it all looks all together & how it goes with the music & how natural it is. She looks like she practices for hours thats not authentic its not real belly dancing and u said u dont think any of

  • those compare to Sadie,Nagwa Foua, Najwa Jamal,Samia Gamal, Tahia, Badia these are all belly dance legends. They are the QUEENS of belly dance, the names aalone Nagwa Fouad, Najwa Jamal and Samia Gamal Sadie doesnt compare to one of the women's baby toe nail. haha comparing Sadie to legends. Im sure u saw how they flow and how smooth it looks not seizure like, like Sadie. in denial much haha

  • NO...i agree with you to an extent, Sadie does look rehersed but i wouldnt say shes not a good bellydancer. All those people you mentioned i have heard of a few of them, they also move well but they come across as a lil boring (sorry to say) not saying their bad, but i guess theres many styles. btw Do you recomend any non arabian bellydancers???

  • Sadie has good specific moves when they are isolated but as a whole it is not belly dancing, belly dancing is an art, its like telling a story not all about certain vibrations, she lacks transitions I mean Malika the Russian belly dancer is WAY better than Sadie, look up Hezzi Ya Nawaem Marianna as well she is from Brazil they even said she moves like an Arabic belly dancer which includes every aspect of belly dancing, slow swaying movements, faster more bouncy motions but her arm movement wasnt

  • too impressive she lacked the movement in the arm area. hizzi ya nawa3em u can search that u should also look up the winner but she is Arab she is Lebanese Magalie youtube this Hezzi Ya Nawaem 2 - Magalie ( Lebanon) - Improvised Drum Solo or this Hezzi Ya Nawaem 2 - Eleanore ( Lebanon) - Improvised Drum Solo

  • i will check those belly dancers out!

what ive noticed, though, when a bellydancer focuses more on fast paced songs; and using faster moves they are criticised! for not being more sensual, fluid and natural...i guess slow dances are more lyrical but i dont understand that

  • I think slow music is harder to dance to because when the music is fast its easy to mask out the moves but when its slow its more sensual, I honestly prefer slower music then with a few fast beats u should check out the songs zay el hawa and sawah by abdel halim hafez, they both are perfect examples. its easier to be sensual with slow songs BUT with fast music sensuality shouldnt be lost its not impossible to stay sensual and fluid with fast songs.

  • u should check out Houwaida hachem and Cameila they are both good at being focused, fluid and sensual

  • amooretliban - checked out some of those dnacers, and its odd, cos i thought that houwaida seemed really stiff? I think obviously when you are from an arab country or a country where bellydance is part of the culture, then you are going to look for different things. But it all comes down to personal taste at the end of the day - and i don't think any way is 'right' or more perfect than another. Some like the fast stuff, some don't!

  • they look boring to you because you look at it with Western eyes. You like Sadie and the others because they grew up in the culture you grew up in, and they do not get the music they are dancing to like Arabs would.

A decent American dancer to me is Aziza. Aradia is good too. These are dancers who still, while keeping their American infuences, somewhat grasp the essence of the dance more completely than drill and tricks artists like Sadie do..

it saddens me when Sadie and Rachel are presented

  • Hey...I remmember talking to you b4 on another Arabic video i think it was that bellydancing talent show......I was about to reply with a nasty comment....but since the last time i spoke to you you seemed like an understanding person.....I dnt get how you can judge me...you dnt even know me yet you are saying i look at dance thru western eyes...4 your informtion im not even Western im west African and i love many bellydancers i try not to judge any of them like what i see many jealous ones doing

  • Sorry my comment couldnt fit all in one box....btw i actually wrote that comment about Sadie many months ago...my views have changed i still thik shes good but she is very technical....to name a few which i like....Ansuya...Maria Shaskova...Dina...Didem...Sahara....Ahava....and one of my favourites is Izzy

  • hey I did NOT mean to insult you. It is not a bad thing to look at something through Western eyes. One does not need to be Western to do so!

I tell you something - years ago, I am Arab but grew up in Europe. In the youtube beginnings probably 6 years ago or so I just typed bellydance and what showed up was mostly the Western style. the Bellydance Superstars etc. I liked their style. i thought I liked it! Until I grew more exposed to the Arab dancers. I had seen them as a child in movies, but

  • with movies of course you remember I saw this great dance in a movie which was called something like "x" and you can never find it again.. and it is 2 minutes only in an entire movie :)

So I started by watching the American dancers. I liked them at first, but with time I thought there dancing was somehwat empty of what it should be. I went back to the original style, and felt home.

I think most people "graduate" from liking the "flashy" Western ones to the more authentic ones..

  • because even if you look at it as a foreigner, or as an Arab grown in the West - with learning about the dance, and feeling the music more and more, you start seeing the dance differently, and I believe most people start appreciating the original style much more.

It is interesting to see your views have changed even within months :)

you know I do not mean to tell you who you have to like, nor disrespect you, I apologize! I just get frustrated when Rachel, Sadie are presented as THE bellydancers

  • as "the" bellydancers by Western fans. And I feel I need to crash my head against the wall.

Both to me are not even doing bellydance, in the case of Sadie she is even dancing to Arabic music (Rachel not). Yet she is NOT what people from the culture will see as bellydance if they know a little about the dance themselves..

  • thank GOD amooret someone is teaching people who want to bellydance, listen to ARAB music, yet have no ARAB role models at all, what bellydance is and is not!!

I SO agree with you on Sadie.

Her isolation and circus tricks are good, probably exciting to Westerners, but I know few Arabs who'd give one cent for this style to authentic Arab music.

    VERY rehearsed.

And to compare American stars like Sadie to the grands of bellydance is almost like blasphemy. Let's see who talks about them in decades

  • loooool rafik seizure.

Well personally I think all the women u listed a great, Sadie is not that bad but I dont know something about her she is too rehearsed its not natural and she's stiff.

  • hahaha i agree arabic culture rocks evn tho im iraqi not lebonese bu still :P

  • yeslamle lrhythm ana

  • No way, these people aren't good, this is for arabs, the belly dance.

  • @Duvdevan22 yeah, and fuck you too

  • GO EVE!!!

  • fertility dance, huh? i LOVE it!

  • i love latinos, and love my arabs.. more people should be doing this, no matter what culture you are. AIIWAA KIDA !!!

  • aiwwa kidda dats ma moms favorite saying were egyptian

  • Ohhhh! You go Evelyn!!!!
