There have been almost 4,000 changes in the bom since the original 1830 edition. There never was a reformed Egyptian language. And Hebrews didn't write in Egyptian. How did Joseph Smith carry home the golden plates of the Book of Mormon, and how did the witnesses lift them so easily if the church says they weighed 1204.7 lbs. per cubic foot? Why did the Nauvoo House not stand forever and ever?

Yes, they married multiple people, but only have 1 'true' wife, and the rest were still wives but they weren't wives as we would think of them. Polygamy was mainly practiced by church leaders, and they would normally marry people in need, so they could give them help, like the elderly and sick.

Even if you have some kind of problem with Mormons, this is not the place to air them. This is the video about the death of a great man. At funerals, it's generally polite to leave aside pettiness and have some respect; you should too.
If you have a problem with the book of mormon, then go argue and bicker about it somewhere else. Hinckley was a great and kind man, even if you disagree with his beliefs.

The words saying "it being a days journey for a Nephite" is merely a form of speech saying that the trip was very short in their eyes.

I disagree. Man can write the BOM. It is not nearly as complicated as the tax laws in your area. But those tax laws where written by man.

Genetics points to the fact that native Americans are not Israelites. Also no other evidence has been found that places the Israelites in the Americas.
Also given the dimensions of the BoM that J.SMith gives, he would not be able to lift it. Experiments where done with the same dimensions except made with lead (a cheaper and LIGHTER metal) and very few people could pick it off the table.

I was in a place so low that I didn't think I was going to get out and I cried for an hour straight to know that He loved me. And I felt it wash over me. It was like I was hit with a wave. And many more by those fleeing 19thC Mormon Utah, literally for their lives. They aren't all lying in fact non of them are lying, they do tell the same sorts of stories. I don't read anything on the internet, I own some 350 original publications from c1805-1890 mostly, up to c1920.

Jesus created this world with Michael (Adam) the word Elohim which apears in the bible (correct me if I am wrong on this spelling please) is hebrew for Gods. @IronBirdshadow And I could say the same thing about Islam. The issue is not complexity, but faith. One guided by the Holy Spirit can get God's message from a copy of Great Expectations. That being said, I pray that the Spirit guides and place my faith in the Bible. When I say NUMEROUS contradictions in the book of Mormon, I discard that text as the doctrine of demons. Jesus Christ is lord; Yaweh is God not the regional manager of this quadrant of the galaxy.

God talked to his people in ancient times, and he talks to us in the Latter Days through his prophet whom recieves this revelation and gives it to all that will listen. @Psjustin i am saying that the bible is NOT the ONLY source of God's word. the bible is a record of God's dealings with people in the old world. the Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealing in the new world (or the America's). i have read them both many times and they are both true! they have both influenced my life in ways i never could have forseen. If you tried looking at the Book of Mormon with an empty cup and earnestly read it, you would see what i mean.

The LDS religion is demonstrably false and incompatible with science, genetics, and history. If the Book of Mormon is true, then why have there been over 3,000 revisions to the original copy? And over 64,000 changes to the original Book of Commandments (Doctorine and Covenents)? If you were to take the time, GROW A BRAIN, and do some research, you will find that everything you were taught as a child IS A LIE! The BOM will never be taken seriously. There's nothing to support any of its claims.
