The sad truth is police can do whatever they want. They have extra rights, and when they're caught doing something asinine as this an "investigation" within the department ensues. Had anyone without a badge shot this mans dog on the same premise; that man would be sitting in jail.

It's a fact.

Now on a personal note: I can't imagine if this was my dog. To many people (myself included) their dog/s are part of their family.

I have to admit....I was sure before this video started that it would be another "cop bashing" video and total BS but......I have to say that I wouldn't go for this crap....I'm a cop and I wouldn't work with a prick that could do this....I have shot a couple of aggressive dogs but only to save myself and others, and I still hated to do that....he don't need a badge......... and where was animal control at?

It's not that we have problem with cops it the fact that this guy didn't follow the very law he enforces and the worst part is I am form Idaho he got away with what he did cop or not no one should shoot some one elses dog like that. What about the three year kid he will never be the same that's not fair to him or the dog

With no lights no sirens at about 80 mph(speed limit 55 )runs right down the center line driving both lanes of traffic into the borrow pit. I have personally seen him do this twice, no exaggeration. I've seen him, with individuals I know personally, removed from their vehicles on the side of the road with Gutierezze in their face. These people are great law abiding citizens.

I live in Teton County and have had a few encounters with Joseph Gutierrez. My wife has been pulled over by this guy 3 times for something as pathetic as not having a license plate on the front of her car. This officer is completely out of control. I have been driving down the two lane highway, which runs through the valley, and have had him literally run myself and other cars off the road.

I cannot express how disgusted I am with that Teton County Deputy. I just got the paper today and I am trembling with anger. That guy is a total peice of crap. I don't want somebody like that responsible for my public safety or well-being. I read that the deputy is suspended with pay in the paper.

Check it out. KIDK website has updates and breaking stories. For all of us who have had dogs shot this could give us a new perspective on law and order. The Patriot act probably makes it legal. Too bad for us.
