  • שיר מוזר וקצת מצחיק..... לא יודע מה להגיד עליו... בכל מקרה ביצוע לא רע, אבל גם לא מדהים

  • For the truth about Jews, Judaism & Israel- try once Jew converted to Christianity Brother Nathanael Kapner @ Real Zionist News. com. He knows first hand having been born a Jew.

  • Is this a hebrew?...I really like this althought I dont understand it, only english

  • @HelisLOVEnia

At times it seems there is no hope, and everything appears dark and unknown The flowers don't bloom anymore, in the garden and in the fields And in the evening there is only a cold wind. So come let us light a candle together (English Chorus) At times it seems that the tomorrow, will not bring comfort for the crying and the sorrow And the long night continues without promise And the darkness is like a small room (?) So come let us light a candle together (English chorus) Enjoy.

  • @estimad08 That is very nice. I like it....thank you very much ;)

  • @estimad08 Thank you for typing the lyrics. I love the melody but had no idea what she was singing. A dear friend shared this song with my wife and I after we lost our Un-born son this last Summer. Thank you

  • Educated persons know; Long before the 6th century when the moon god became allah, and Islam born; Jews for thousands of years, have migrated from land given them, intermarried and spouses converted to Judaism. Judaism and Israel thrive and survives. Palestinians are squatters taking land after Jews were taken captive by Babylon (Iran). And, please Palestinians should not be confused with the uncircumcised Philistines. They are not the same people. Study history. Zion is Forever!

  • @rbearjew770 Lighten up idiot. It's only religion.

    Kol HaKavod!!!

  • @TheHairSandwich pay attention to the lyrics and get them translated into a simple language you may understand. There is depth and a message in the lyrics if you only listen. You yourself, hiccup from time to time, it is a human reflex, and are your ends split?

  • to Israel excellent very beautiful

  • she is perfect

  • We sang this song in 7th grade for our Israeli pen pals! Ahhh so many memories...

  • i started to cry ;( this song is awesome!!! who has the song? send it to me pls I'll tell you my e-mail... greetings from MACEDONIA

  • her voice is amazing

    i love this performance

  • Listening and watching this song makes me so sad.... I remeber watching it in 2002 and there was war then and there still is. O I am so upset that people dont realize what a great country Israel is and how wonderful the Israelis are. This song is proof of how amazing it is and if not attacked by the terrorists that are muslims it will be a super power. G-d bless Israel forever and ever.

  • I'm sure most Israelis are good people that should not be blamed. But don't say it's only the muslims! Both countries are fighting each other.

  • I live in Israel. What you say is not true. How many Jews have attacked Muslims in suicide attacks??? How many Jews have targeted women and children? None!

  • Comment removed

  • So Jews never attack the muslims? Sure! Both sides are fighting each other. Of course you now better than me what it's like being a Jew living in Isreal. But have you ever thought of how it would be to be Palestine?

  • I know many Palestinians and the last thing that they want is a state of their own. They are very happy with things as they are. It's only the fanatic leaders that cause the problems and send out the suicide bombers. And yes, there have been absolutely no Jewish suicide bombers. Sorry to disappoint you.

  • @moshe219 You know Palestinians? Or did you see a picture of palestinian in some slanted newspaper?

Because you just seem to be spewing a propanonsence.

  • There is not such thing Palestinians !!!! All Palestine are a bunch of Arabs from Egypt, Jordan, Syria & Lebanon !!! They should go back to camels & their dirty deserts where they came from...

  • Comment removed

  • There has never been a country of the Arabs called Palestine. The only call for an Arab state in Israel is by the murderers of children and fanatics who sacrifice their children by using them as bomb carriers and human shields. Those who say otherwise are just perpetuating the evil of Hitler. Pure evil exists in the world. Where it exists, it must be destroyed before it destroys the good and free people of the world.

  • Who decides what is good and what is not good? U.S.? Yes, very often.

In the last century and now U.S. done more evil than anyone, except the German Nazis.

It's their hypocritical demagogy, "war for peace". Terror as a "democratic" response to terrorism.

It's sad that fanatics sacrifice innocent people, but that doesn't mean that this people have to suffers, because it's possible to find a better solution. The nations of Israel have suffered enough and need to find peace.

  • @HDTView Sorry, this songs proves nothing. Many countries had sent love and peace songs to eurovision. It does not make them oh-my-g*d-wonderful. This is pretty average Eurovision entry. I have it in my music library, but it is not nobel-price worthy. Noa's and Mira's song was much better... artistically speaking.

  • This is a good entry from Israel. =D Think it deserved better then 12th place in my opinion.

  • OMG... I'm from Israel and I hate this singer. so imbarrasing...

  • i hate her too. my old hebrew teach sings better than this!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • I LOVE ISRAEL!!!!!!!

  • whats not that great?

  • go sarittt ans go israel!!!

  • Me suelen gustar mucho las canciones que lleva Israel al festival

  • who won that year

  • Latvia - "I Wanna"

  • I am able to see this problem from a distance. I say that both nations have the right to live in peace. That will happen if Israel stops being so nacionalistic and narcistic and if Hamas stops boming inocent Israelis. But again, the boming will stop when palestinians have their own state.

    Hello from Slovenia

SAYERET MATKAL !!!! AM ISRAEL CHAI !!!!

  • The studios gave them such a BAD balance which ruined the song!

  • This is one of the best Eurovision songs ever...

    This singer is very beautiful...

12 POINTS from Adriatic, Croatia to ISRAEL

  • Amazing song. Thank you, Israel.

I remmeber I voted for the song for about 12 times on the Eurovision evening. Hello from Slovenia...

  • Fantastic !

  • even if according to me israel will reach the highest places with an unusual beautiful song (like in 1998, deserved victory), these ballads are still so charming !

  • I just love the lead singers eyes! She is FIT! ;)

  • For me the best song that year.

  • how did she did then?

loved this song, i went to jewish camp in Hungary and we learned to sing this one

    :D

  • I love her!!!מדהימה!!!

  • sarit chadad is a good singer .

i love this song great !12 points!!!

  • Beatiful song. But I didn't vote for it.

  • she looks so israeli :D love it!

  • 7 years then and i didn´t forget this song....beautiful!!

  • She is beautiful and the song too

  • very beautiful song!!!

  • "Joskus tuntuu siltä että ei ole toivoa"

  • very nice . she sing that so sad..beautiful...

  • nice one

  • It was the best song of Eurovision 2002...

  • she is an oriental israeli singer. unfortantly you do see only this side of Israel, because the broadcating system do not think wisely , that European israeli singers will fit much more !!!

  • top 5

  • wow, great song

  • It sounds like there's booing after she sings?

I actually thought that was a pretty good performance.

  • Any booing would be of Israel's policy rather than of the performance, I would believe.

  • "Any booing would be of Israel's policy rather than of the performance, I would believe."

That booing was outrageous. I thought that was a very good performance and so deserved to win. Sarit is a very beautiful and talented singer, and your comments are just typical of the pro-Arab sentiment emanating from much of the EU these days.

  • My comment was descriptive, not valorative. I was responding to bluewhale 18.

  • I agree with you my friend. Israel has to cope with violence from the rest of the Middle East and yet again prejudice from eastern Europe. Shalom to all in Israel from a friend in Ireland.

  • Sarit complained about many anti-israeli acts done against her and the other members of the israeli delegation , she spoke about it when she returned to Israel.

  • "Sarit complained about many anti-israeli acts done against her and the other members of the israeli delegation , she spoke about it when she returned to Israel."

Thank you for confirming what I had always suspected, namely Sarit (who is a very talented and special singer) was treated abysmally. In my view, Sarit should have won this.

  • Wow tears in eyes.

    Samadhi

  • After you watch this, go to Peter, Paul and Mary's "Light one Candle"

    Am Yisrael Chai!!

  • Nice song, but why is one of the tags the word "gay"?

  • Beacause in old English language gay means cheerful, happy. But nowadays people have mixed it with anther word whihc means homosexual.

  • god bless israel

  • שיר ממש יפה

  • Great song.

    ---With love from Russia.

  • אני אוהב את השיר הזה

  • whatever bitch

what did we do defanted ourself?

  • maybe Hizbollah should listen to this before bombing Northern Israel's cities and villages. It's not that easy, bloke!

  • completely agree! HEZBOLLAH = terror, and Israel won't stop defending itself against it

  • Excellent song! Greetings from Serbia!

    Odlična pesma! Pozdrav iz Srbije!

  • WOW very beautifull. Very nice song for peace...:'(

  • Wonderful music very inspiring!!!!!

  • israel, malta and united kingdom were the best at this evening.

  • i think in 2002 people didn't vote for Israel because of political reasons! but they rewarded israel in 2005 with a top 5 position! so people forgot about it! But this was the best song that evening! LOVE her and Israel too

  • 1 Israel Sarit Hadad - Light A Candle

2 Malta Ira Losco - Seventh Wonder

3 Germany Corinna May - I Can´t Live Without Music

4 Finland Laura Voutilainen - Addicted To You

5 FYR Macedonia Karolina - Od Nas Zavisi

  • עםג נךקדד ו

  • bokum bile daha güzel söylerdi sarkiyi eeee yahudi söylerse böyle olur sarki

  • The song is great! And so is Sairt and Israel! looooove from Norway!

  • It's all politics, which is sad, remembering that we are talking about music that is one of the most wonderful things in the world. We should enjoy it together, shouldn't we?

I also have to mention that the singer has a very beautiful body. She seems so soft.

  • Israel is not the only country participating in ESC that has problems with equality and human rights. It hurts to hear that some commentators have told the viewers not to vote for Israel because of its politics. But to tell you the truth, ESC is far from equal.Neighbours are voting for each other and some countries refuse to give points to their "enemies".

  • I remember watching this a couple of years ago. I fell in love with the song and kept singing it after the actual show was over. I'm very sorry for this anti-Israel atmosphere in some parts of Europe. I think it's not right to mix the politics and music.

  • I like this song and I hate the anti-Israel spirit in Europe. Love to Israel from Finland! :)

  • Having just seen the entry that won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002, I am even more outraged that this beautiful song, sung by a beautiful singer, didn't win. It shows what I have said all along that there is an anti-Israel bias within the EU.

  • shut up!

  • i like this song. really great. one of the best isreal entries, together with the one in 2005:))))

  • hey people.. Turkey, Israel, Armenia and Georgia are taking part in the contest and i don't think it's that fair... the other countries have smaller chances to win..

  • I cry every time I hear sing this song. Love the begining of it, I love this song, Love Israel. A kurdish friend.

  • amazing voice and great song. <:

  • Lovely and great song it was and it is still!

  • Israel has passed from "Light a candle" to "Push the button"! How romantic, how peaceful are israelis. And next near, the song will be "Drop the bomb", for sure. Israel, you are not Europe. Go away!

  • What about once not mixing politics and music... Btw, Turkey is not Europe, either (most of the territory is in ASIA) but nobody would deny the right of the turks to participate... If you're not informed, dear jontxai, it's about the EBU (European Broadcast Union) and Israel is a member of it. Like most of the northern african countries. Never mind, as long as the world is intoxictated with politics, music will always suffer... Sarit, ani ohev otach!!

  • "What about once not mixing politics and music" etc

Absolutely spot on. It is an outrage that the usual anti-Israel propaganda and feeling that emanates from the EU prevented such a nice song from winning. Sarit deserved much better treatment.

  • It didnt win because it wasnt that good a song! get over it

  • "It didnt win because it wasnt that good a song! get over it"

I am sorry, but I can't let you get away with that. It didn't win partly because of the anti-Israel feeling in Europe, with many tv commentators asking the viewers not to vote for Sarit. It is a really good song and I repeat that it is an outrage that it didn't win.

  • Where is proof that TV commentators have said this??? The EBU would throw any country out if this were the case. You are so PRO-ISREALI whats the point of having sensible dialogue with you.
