I love the thin line projects. I've made several soloman bar blue lines for my fellow officers. The only real problem is that they do not deploy easily. Is there a way to incorporate a thin line style into something more like the Ripcord Sinnet? I love the ease of deployment that bar offers. It would be wonderful to use that stitch and still be able to honor those who serve in emergancy services.

This diamond knot comes out looking as if it's made from only 2 strands, correct? When terminating a fob with 4 strands, I've made a diamond knot by treating 2 strands as one.

@clownslider - I don't mind. Most of the knots I show on my channel are my designs, created like an artist might create a new painting. Only difference...I show how my "paintings" are made. This particular tie, a request from a viewer, is my version of an idea that's been floating around the web for some time now. Creating a "Thin Blue Line" fob from the similarly tied bracelets people sell.

I'm curious as to how you would make a version of this with a 2 color base. I have my own ideas, I'm just wondering how you would handle it. My general idea was to make the core one color, then add a second color and treat the piece like a standard 2 color Solomon bar when working back the other way on the 2nd layer. I saw a red, white and blue variation of this, with a red and blue base and a white "thin line" that I liked, which prompted the question. BTW, love your videos JD. :)

Thanks for this JD! I was hoping you had time to do this one this week. I made a "Military" version with an Olive Drab primary and Camo Secondary. But it was in cord that is larger than paracord and it just got to be too bulky. Made a second one with some 2mm cord and it is rather sexy.. although not in the emergency colours. When I can get some of those colours I will make some gifts as you suggest.
