I love the thin line projects. I've made several soloman bar blue lines for my fellow officers. The only real problem is that they do not deploy easily. Is there a way to incorporate a thin line style into something more like the Ripcord Sinnet? I love the ease of deployment that bar offers. It would be wonderful to use that stitch and still be able to honor those who serve in emergancy services.
liked watching u make the bracelet. since my stroke i don't have use in my left hand to make one but would love to have one. i still get out in the woods a lot just not as far/fast as i used to. wondering how much u charge to make me one send to me in canada? thx 4 the gr8 vid... karen
You seem like a very focused individual, I envy that. My comment is in regard to the Fire Fighter colors. The correct colors would be black with "thin red line". I am currently a Fire Fighter Paramedic in Maryland and have made several of these using your videos. It makes me mad when I see someone wearing one and they tell me they paid $20 for it. So I make them for free. Thanks again.
December 24,2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Jackson was found dead.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened.Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter.if you don't repost this to 6 videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. Sorry i dont want to die

This diamond knot comes out looking as if it's made from only 2 strands, correct? When terminating a fob with 4 strands, I've made a diamond knot by treating 2 strands as one.
Would you post a video of you making one of these in a bracelet with a side release buckle....I am a firefighter and I've been making my own version of the thin red line for the guys of my firehouse but I'd love to see this particular braid done so I can learn it. Thank you!
@clownslider - I don't mind. Most of the knots I show on my channel are my designs, created like an artist might create a new painting. Only difference...I show how my "paintings" are made. This particular tie, a request from a viewer, is my version of an idea that's been floating around the web for some time now. Creating a "Thin Blue Line" fob from the similarly tied bracelets people sell.
THANK YOU!!! I finally found a video where I can learn this unique design! I have one question though, I need to make this as a big bracelet for a typical man sized wrist, but i dont understand how to start it...So I start it just like 1:11? How much string should I really use 7 ft?
I'm curious as to how you would make a version of this with a 2 color base. I have my own ideas, I'm just wondering how you would handle it. My general idea was to make the core one color, then add a second color and treat the piece like a standard 2 color Solomon bar when working back the other way on the 2nd layer. I saw a red, white and blue variation of this, with a red and blue base and a white "thin line" that I liked, which prompted the question. BTW, love your videos JD. :)
@TyingItAllTogether Please tell me how you would make a bracelet out of this. i cannot find any other instruction video with the thin blue line that does not use a buckle. Please help.
Thanks for these ideas. My law enforcement agency's uniforms are green and several have asked for "thin green line" bracelets. I have already made a couple. FYI, this is Police Week.
I don't know how you consistently create! I went back to your your first video and watched grow from tying a neat knot to fusion knots and all I can say is wow. I don't normally stay interested in any one thing beyond work related interest but I gotta say, you and several others have given me a spark to run with in a relaxing, yet challenging past-time. Great work as always! How's the movie coming along?
Thanks for this JD! I was hoping you had time to do this one this week. I made a "Military" version with an Olive Drab primary and Camo Secondary. But it was in cord that is larger than paracord and it just got to be too bulky. Made a second one with some 2mm cord and it is rather sexy.. although not in the emergency colours. When I can get some of those colours I will make some gifts as you suggest.
I have giant calluses due to these......Thank you to any Public servicemen and servicewomen who watch this. I can't thank you enough. My father is a Police officer so i do know the kind of sacrifices you make everyday on our behalf.
Nice. I didn't think of the diamond knot. I have been making something very similiar for a while now but would singe two ends and then tie a lanyard knot. Thanks. Great idea.
I heard people talk about a quick release. Could u explain that

What do you single the ends with, a lighter tends to blacken the cord. Hot metal?

I like to use white but I don't like the black left behind when I singe the end. Any suggestions please?
