Loads of remakes of this tune came after Nujabes sampled Yusef's version. Also, alot of these remakes seem to be coming from Japanese musicians/DJs. Coincidence or not?

Besides, the original score from the film was NOT jazz. Its other musicians who put that score in a jazz scene.

@DillyBansal er wrong, this tune was made famous cuz of the movie and the fact its directed by Stanley Kubrick and Starring Kirk Douglas didnt hurt...... this is a very popular piece to do when you are a jazz musician. maybe you only heard of it recently, but 95% of jazz pianist know this song.
