@iTsFaKeWaTcH I think the easiest kit to level up and get points with is the Assault kit. There are no 2 better gadjets than the defibs and med packs for building points. The most well rounded kit for helping your team is engineer on almost every map.

damavand peak is GREAT for shelling because there are alot of peaks, nooks etc perfect for shelling and the taking out the buildings is really tactical for ur team

when battling an enemy mortar the number one tip to survival is to get your round off then run the fuck away from your tube because chances are he saw your mortar pop on the minimap and managed to get a round off before yours hit

yea the fact that you can actually use the mortar cannon in this game is a great addition to the gameplay... im gunna see if i can mount this while standing on top of a jeep and make a mortar truck that we change position with every few mortars or get 1 person in the field requesting mortar strikes in specific areas and me and 2 other guys put a few mortars down range... or that same thing only the 3 mortars in the truck driving around to get a better advantage

hmmm..the mortars dont seem so bad on here afterall, im currently playing battlefield: play4free on my computer until i buy a replacement ps3 (in about 2 weeks). and the mortar strike on there is HORRIBLE. its like 20 mortars falling from the sky all at once and it kills you even if your not really that close to it. its such bullshit. but the way the mortars are in BF3 isnt so bad. i guess i will get this game afterall.

@itsdavadude Yea, that is pretty normal from my experience. You pretty much have to hit them dead onh to get them in one shot and the crosshairs aren't narrow enough to be that precise with every shot.

Sometimes the people on the other team with the mortar appears and disappears from the map. How do you do that ex. without dismounting and moving the mortar. Because I will watch on the kill cam and the guy with the mortar will never show on the map when im trying to hit him with my mortar, but he never dismounts and moves the mortar... any advice on staying hidden?

@Tj1056 They could, but it wouldn't be very effective. There are plenty of people that have mortars now and if anyone on the other team is mortaring, they will show up permanently on your mortar mini map. They are very easy to kill. You also have to be really accurate to get kills on infantry or vehicles or have a spotting drone. If you aren't getting a lot of kills then you are kind of a waste because you are leaving your team a man down while you camp. Mortars can also deploy smoke.

@TannerTheGamer from what I have seen the mortors are pretty accurate... and everytime I die from one its from a single mortor that lands straight on top of me :/ well like on team deathmatch and stuff they work really well... and while attacking rush its easy to cover a armed mcom with a mortor... most matches ive played hardly anyone on my team uses mortors even while the other team is shelling the shit out of us :/

@EagleAndTheApple1191 They are much more effective on Rush because you can usually mortar the entire map which means that the other team must deal with you or you will just rain them down every 5 seconds in a condensed map all game. I have been playing much more conquest lately and people do not use them much. Probably because they have much less effect on the overall game. I use them in conquest to take out snipers or to counter another guy mortaring otherwise it isn't really worth it.

@TannerTheGamer i haven't tried the mortar on all maps on conquest but i found that its really effective on grand bazaar because most of the fighting happens in that large alley at B so there's less space for people to run and they're all ready under fire from friendly team mates

I have difficulty recognizing map features, mesas and even open areas have angular outlines sometimes that make them look like buildings and vice verse to me. It's also hard to for me to figure out the orientation of the minimap and it seems it's facing opposite what my view is sometimes, sometimes not. I did notice that on some buildings I can penetrate the roof, but the destructables are sorely lacking in this game. Opposite what they claimed the Frostbite 2 Engine could do!
