@belalassaad1 Not changed in 1400 years? that's all the more reason to be suspicious about it! And the so called scientific facts that are claimed are LIES.
@Feskochsnus This remarkable Biblical confirmation of the expansion of the universe can be accounted in Isaiah 45:12, 48:12, 51:13; Jeremiah 10:12, 51:15; Job 9:8, 37:18; Psalms 18:9, 104:2, 144:5, 2 Samuel 22:10, and Zechariah 12:1
Yes, both the Quran and Psalms are from God. The Quran, Old and new testament and the Psalms are confirmed in the Quran as revelations revealed by God to the Porphets. David (Dawud) is a Prophet in the Quran. The Quran confirms what the old scriptures said whilst they were in their original form. Also, are you sure prophet David wrote the Psalms or authored it? or was it revealed via the archangel Gabriel from God? I have stated no contradiction.
@janji3202 just for the sake of argument: why do you wear nikes?? why do police officers wear uniforms? why do wedded couples wear a wedding ring??? why do graduated students get certified? why do we all have names? why do employers always ask for the age of the applicants? why do all movies have a unique title? b/c they are symbols.... peace be upon you, God is spirit. think of this: we would be "nobody" if we didnt have a passport....
wearing a beard is like telling everybody "hi i'm a muslim" (except if you'r a gay bear that's ok) which i don't really want to know. Why should i know your religion, can't you keep it for yourself ? it's a kind of provocation keep your faith inside! i don't think your humble at all and you're not my "brother".
Good. This is true about most religions. But Islam is actually based on ratinality. You see, one cannot be a Muslim merely by following someone else's statment blindly, even if he were a prophet. It has to be proven.
Since you seem to be a rational person, you seemed to fail to realise the rationality behind this video. Sterotyping a man with evil because of his beard is evil, judgemental and irrational in itself. Do you know why we grow the beard?
I've never even heard of "beard stereotyping," but stereotyping is not inherently evil. It's just inherently inaccurate.
Have fun with your beard, I think they look metal. But this guy just mentioned a hypothetical question, (which was quite odd in my opinion), his fare's response (which was also odd) and his follow up that some stranger with a beard is probably better than this stranger's friends.
That's a groundless, bizarre, and somewhat condescending statement to make.
Stating that "organized religion is evil" agreeable for most ideologies and religions but mentioning it here in this context of the beard seems confusing, knowing the person in the video is trying to tell you not to judge a book by its cover. He talks about good qualities in a person, which are good universal values. So, I still challenge you to know why a good Muslim grows his beard. Not what you've "heard" or "Think" please.
You may have never "heard" of "beard stereotyping" but you've never been in the shoes of a Muslim to know or feel this. It doesn't have to be in the dictionary or academic book.
Yes, there is a real fear of beards in general in western culture nowadays. Which is interesting, because most of Europe was bearded centuries back. It is not just something that Muslims have to put up with in the west. I'm not a Muslim, but I have a beard now. It is just cultural conditionings. Each generation is brought up to view a smooth or bearded face in certain ways, and after decades it becomes very difficult for them to view things different than that ingrained programming.

The beard is a trial of this world, we are instructed to have a beard to show our devotion and commitment to Islam.

@apologiamixer God says in the Bible "Do not trim off the hair on your temples or trim your beards." - Leviticus 19:27, New Living Translation (©2007).
Jesus himself converted water into wine, so why not God can provide win in the paradise.

The bible speaks abt the beard:
“‘Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
Book of Leviticus, chapter 19, verse 27
How many christians have beards??? They don't follow Jesus(pbuh) but instead they have been decieved by satan.

Right, because just saying something makes it true, no need for any rational justification.
Since that's all it takes for you, here is all I need to say in response: "Organized religion is evil."

PS - rationale and rational are two totally different words. I'm not taking a jab at you, just letting you know.
johanwolfe 4 years ago
Thank you for the English lesson. But you're right, rationale is the noun while the latter is an adjective. That's beside the point.
What you "think" of the beard's physical appearance is your personal choice. That's fine.
