  • yeah, i have the same camera, stopped using it along time ago, i'm sure as hell not buying that annoying hand held, steadyer crap. W/E Sanyo has great cuality but over all it's crappy. lol.

  • @kripazznigga211 Very fair opinion on the cam and steadicam. Don't blame you at all. Cam's waterproof which is a plus, but you're right, wobbles very easily. Requires extra caution when walking. Makes me nostalgic for the simplicity of the Flip Ultra HD. Cisco made a big mistake killing it off. The steadicam, yeah it is annoying, but I'm getting used to it.

  • @ElevenColors i couldn't use it with windows movie maker and i was broke at the time to buy anything else and now i just don't care. my phone has an hd camera and 8 gb built in memory, so i'm good. XD

  • I love ManFrotto products!

  • @qiranger I figure I'm still in the getting-to-know-them phase. :-D

  • @4:54 "There's gotta be a better way of doing this..."

    That's what she said.

  • @yuichituba Likely to come up with this rig: "You've got it in the wrong hole"

  • @ElevenColors lmao

  • I have to admit, It does look a pain in the arse to carry around.

  • @ShibuyaEngine It is, but I'm getting used to it.

  • I love shimo kita and I love your t-shirt!

interesting product, might have to look into it further.

  • @cityend Been thinking, might not need it if only I could give up caffeine....

  • Sweaty & shiny. That's how I like your videos! :)

  • @ralfonzo83 I'll try to make them all the more sweatier and shinier then.

  • ANd yes that is an odd name for a product. Sounds like gay Hobbit pron... It makes me think of Afrootto to for some reason... Hmmmm.....

  • @edtomorrow Aha! Manfrotto is the name Jackass's wee-man would have had if he were in a Lord of the Rings film.

  • Well? What do you think? I dig the way it folds up but I guess if you don't do a lot of walking vids then it could get a bit tedious. Or am I being narrow minded?

  • @edtomorrow Not at all. You're reasoning's sound. Matches some of the thoughts I've had. A plain monopod would do some of the same job better, some of the same job not so well.

  • Interesting... seems like a cool goodie.. and I do enjoy the box openings. :P

    Thanks for sharing.

    What does your T-shirt say?

  • @markshmily I Heart Shimo-Kita, shorthand nickname for my neighborhood Shimokitazawa (下北沢)

  • This was unintentionally funny at 2am.

  • @sonicphotonic Awesome. Best time for watching it then.

  • I need one of those. Like, badly.

  • @KramInJapan Only costs about a hundred bucks. A monopod with a weight on the end would have had the same effect. But this thing does look like a freaking phaser gun, which is good.

  • @ElevenColors I'll do just about anything to freak out the locals, so a phaser gun look is more my speed. I'll look into picking one up.

  • its right across the street where you were at in that video, it features, hiphop and techno clubatom [dotcom]

  • @strati5phere Right across? Same building as Vuenos and Asia-P maybe? Complex building it is. Might be a club I don't know.

  • @strati5phere AHA. Cheated. Googled. Never been in the building. No live music there, sorry.

  • is club ATOM still there? I had good times there.

  • @strati5phere Club Atom.... can't say I know the name, so I couldn't tell you anything about it without Googling, sorry.

  • so how long did it actually take to put that thing together?

  • @ReallyJessika At work now. Remind me to check the length of the original clip when I get home tonight... :-D

  • You and your cliffhangers. Well, they work!

  • @SweetPhil Really? Glad to hear. Originally intended to do everything in one vid but total length ended up longer than 10 min, longer than any sensible attention span.

  • @ElevenColors I kind of prefer it this way. It gives me more incentive to watch the next installment.

  • The issue was with the darkness, but I didn't say anything coz xacti means crap in low light situations. I know if you had some one walking along beside you with a Panasonic Lumix, the contrast between the 2 vids would be astonishing. I've pretty much given up on using the xacti in those situations & pinch Fumis camera or get her to film. Heavens Door is about as dark as it can handle, but even then other cameras will perform much better. However the pistol grip makes them far more comfy to use

  • @MicknFumi Pistol grip is indeed easier to hold for long periods. Don't know why everyone still does VHS-camera-shaped cameras when those are harder to hold for a long time.

  • @ElevenColors Definately your right mate...I don't get it either, its not like the form factor is more costly to produce or anything.

  • @MicknFumi Hmmm.... Aha. Less easily mistaken for a firearm! I just thought that one up.

  • @ElevenColors LOL I was just thinking that watching your part 2...I guess it would look highly conspicuous : D

  • lol thats one interesting looking gadget...another interesting thing I actually heard about from a friend, but havn't seen it. Is a stationary steadycam, basically consisting of a string running from the camera to under your foot. I figured it would be pretty simple to make & a pretty good idea for certain situations...I have to say though mate, I didn't find the steadiness of your recent videos to be an issue.

  • @MicknFumi Is that for standing or walking?

  • @ElevenColors Stationary...you could like rig something up easily by tieing some string onto one of the legs or the neck of a an octopus tripod or get a clip to connect onto the strap connector. then just bunch it all into your pocket when your mobile. I thought it was a good idea, but I probably won't do it myself. I'm happy with the stability of my vids. I'm panning most of the time, so its easy to hide wonkyness unless you need to zoom in more than 30% then ya may as well use diff cam.

  • My Canon T2i is heavy enough that it doesn't wobble too much for me, but needs 2 hands, unless I have it on a stick.

    Works great in darkness.

  • @HWGuyEG Funny thing. Sheer mass is indeed the best steadicam.

  • It also has to do with the distribution of weight, since the camera is big with the lens on it.

Doesn't really weight that much, but it's enough that you can't shake it a lot, although if you don't hold it below it's centre of gravity it'll pitch up and down with the heavy lens on the front.

  • I remember back in middle school or so i had a friend that had some girl watcher glasses. It was awesome. I hope that modo steady works out.

  • @TheItsumaru Aye. I need to take a walk with both. See if the girl watcher glasses work out.

  • I know its random but can you give me some tips on growing a beast beard like yours. My beard is at 2 inches on the chin (*working at a full beard), but anyway any grooming techniques.

  • @D4wWhiteGhost2 Trim the ends a bit so the lengths stay even. I've heard it said that trimming a bit makes it grow faster. Not sure if that's true.

  • wait a min! Hold on! Those ain't your real glasses??

  • @APOKALYPSE34 Nope.

  • Was.... all the stop editing a parody?

  • @HotPocketEXE The stop editing was because I spent about ten minutes total going "duh" over the steadicam and its instruction sheet.

  • Nice. Exactly what I needed the other day! Can't wait to see it in action.

  • @TheMadPoppet Matter of fact, this is the rig I used on the last two videos. This one just took longer to edit.

  • @ElevenColors Well, it all makes sense to me now. Thanks!!

  • i have the same pair of shades with the mirrors on them. i put them on to watch you struggling with your new manfrotto. lol, manfrotto...

  • @dboy11368 MAN-frotto!

  • What the shirt say pure guess would be I love Tokyo.

  • @BahamutDKing No it's not what it says. And not "I love Japan" either... I have no idea what it says. O.o Tell us!

  • @MurdocLC It's 下北 or Shimokita, the place James always seems to wander through for shows.

  • @HotPocketEXE You got it.

  • @MurdocLC I Love Shimo-Kita. Shimokitazawa is the part of Tokyo where I live.

  • @BahamutDKing I Love Shimo-Kita. Shimokitazawa is the part of Tokyo where I live.
