I don't have any of the systems to play the Final Fantasy VII games, but my brother got Crisis Core for his PSP for me, and I was able to play that, and I've watched Advent Children, Advent Children Complete and Last Order. Everytime somebody even mentions Zack, or when he shows up, I get the urge to cry because I remember his death.

@gamecrysisreviews nah man, ff7 takes off after this part of the movie. you find out what happened about half way through the game if you do a little side quest. this is just like, a gap in the story line that was filled in.

@Fluffymiyster lol yea I was also on the Crisis Core topic too! But FF7 is one game I can play over and over as well. I got the PSX Emulator for it on my PC and it runs great. I love how the story lines all come together so well :)

No, I don't think he thinks zacks memories are his. Zack tells him, be my living legacy. So he does, at first that's what he's doing. But somewhere a long the way, I think he loses a grip on reality.

He didn't want to fail himself, nor his town of Nibelheim. So he lied, fell for his own lies (because of the sickness).

He was so messed up from the experiments that he couldn't separate his identity and experiences from Zack's. I don't think he intentionally lied but rather internalized ideas and experiences which subsequently crafted a new and stronger identity. The memory lapse was temporary but his new self image made him a badass like Zack. That is how he owned Sephiroth in FF VII standard and the AC movie.

TBH...this movie sucked. I know I might get bashed for this but it made some more plot holes and just didnt have a good ending. It may have been because of Cloud's childhood. In Last Order/the end of Crisis Core, he had mako poisoning and was trying to recover from it. As for FF7, probably because a. his childhood or b. because of the fact that his childhood home burned down. In Advent Children, it was because he lost Zack and Aerith/Aeris and felt like he didn't do anything about it. He's a lot better in Dirge of Cerberus, though, but I guess that's because he doesn't get a lot of screen time.
Okay, yes Cloud has Mako sickness. Strange thing about the sickness is the fact that he was not in Soldier nor did he have any serious exposure to mako during his fight with Sephiroth. Strange still trying to figure that one out myself. Crisis Core actually answers a lot of questions here. The reason being behind Zacks death was ShinRa troops. The Turks wanted Zack alive but the ShinRa troops jumped the gun and killed Zack.
I think the mako sickness is because hojo inserts jenova cells into cloud during their capture, he becomes a failed clone of sephiroph (probably because unlike kadaj he was able to control it, not killing aeris and such) Also he was still dreary from being healed in the tank in shinra's basement.
But yeah he thinks he's zack due to slight memory loss, or maybe he was embarressed he didn't make Soldier 1st class. Also enix have been given the green light for a FF7 remake!

I think its because while Cloud was out of it he sorta kinda took all the stories that Zack was telling him and put himself as Zack, later when he went into the life stream he remembers Zack properly, before that he would only get headaches when he was close to remembering him, and he'd pass out. he admits to not really being SOLDIER, as he was only a regular troop.

Gahh ... I think what they're lacking most is character development. I mean, Square Enix tries to make them mysterious, but there so little interaction! Everything is so vague and rather not-intense-enough to me.

Yes, the quality of the movie is good. The animation is awesome. It's just that there's more to a movie than just action, you know. I knew this was of the incident in his hometown and of Zack's death. They already showed us this in the game. This section have already been explained.
Let's say they ran out of ideas and made this for the fans. They at least could have made it more movie like. An actually dialogue, emotion depth. This is mainly just action.
Advent Children wasn't good as a movie. It looked great and all; but it lacked the emotional and story account from other movies. The 1st releasing was so badly told that only the ones that played FF7 understood it, then the 2nd releasing just added MORE action and a back story of a minor character.
What of the FF7 characters? I wanted to see them interact with each other. See scenes of them being them. Not some stupid 9 min+ sword fight. I want substance.
Hmm, I can't say that since it is the ending of the series. That's like calling Rocky6 is a filler. Besides it wasn't trying to keep up with anything nor wasting time for something based off it to catch up to it (really I hate it when companies due that. Doing a game or manga in a differ media deserves a differ way of telling it).
Cloud didn't have any [blood] brothers, so no they wasn't talked about. The movie didn't really tell you that the baddies was the spiritual remains of Selphiroith.
Actually yes it did. Kadajj mentioned several times and so did Rufus and Cloud that Kadajj, Yazoo, and Loz we're Remnants of Sephiroth but needed Jenova's cells to be whole. For me the movie was amazing. I found it as a sequel. It didn't have to follow any of the other characters really because the original 7 for the ps1 was mainly about Cloud. It was cloud's story. All the other characters were just side stories really. Thats why the movie was mainly about Cloud.
They allured to the notion like 3 times and they only said it once near the middle. But this leads to Japanese media biggest problem: the improper use of English. Remnants is an old English word used for pieces that come from a broken unit; such as platoon or front line. Using it for a person or piece of a body doesn't fit this word; thus making the meaning unclear. This was never corrected until the END of the movie.
Batman is about Bruce Wayne and he still have tons of interaction. :l
If you wanted you can argue that they are using the 2nd meaning of the word which is kin to linger. This is also points away to what they really are since it would mean two things:
1.They aren't really there as they are ghost of the same man which gives immoral sense and wouldn't make much sense.
2.They are (like in the 1st post to you) part of Clouds old platoon.
The movie was still a fail because of the unnecessary action. We didn't need 2 bike fights. Cloud talks to people in the game.
Um... that didn't explain.... much... Why was Cloud so quiet and not moving? Once he saw his friend die (in blue vision) did he then snap to and build his giant rage against the world?
But there are times when Cloud shows emotion to Aerith. The people who made Final Fantasy 7 made a really complicated love line. SO the only person who knows who likes who is the people who made it. ( B3
@mundo646 its kinda awesome to know im not the only one that understands this storyline, its sorta confusing at parts but if u pay attention at the text in the game u get it, late but u do, this is the best videogame ever made. No story can compare to this. Thumbs up if u want a remake!

I think its because while Cloud was out of it he sorta kinda took all the stories that Zack was telling him and put himself as Zack, later when he went into the life stream he remembers Zack properly, before that he would only get headaches when he was close to remembering him, and he'd pass out. he admits to not really being SOLDIER, as he was only a regular troop.
What caused the reaction that made him go out of it so badly he cant remember squat? I think it was the mako addiction.

Gahh ... I think what they're lacking most is character development. I mean, Square Enix tries to make them mysterious, but there so little interaction! Everything is so vague and rather not-intense-enough to me.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, please! More interaction between the characters! More DETAIL.

Yes, the quality of the movie is good. The animation is awesome. It's just that there's more to a movie than just action, you know. I knew this was of the incident in his hometown and of Zack's death. They already showed us this in the game. This section have already been explained.
Let's say they ran out of ideas and made this for the fans. They at least could have made it more movie like. An actually dialogue, emotion depth. This is mainly just action.

Advent Children wasn't good as a movie. It looked great and all; but it lacked the emotional and story account from other movies. The 1st releasing was so badly told that only the ones that played FF7 understood it, then the 2nd releasing just added MORE action and a back story of a minor character.
What of the FF7 characters? I wanted to see them interact with each other. See scenes of them being them. Not some stupid 9 min+ sword fight. I want substance.

Hmm, I can't say that since it is the ending of the series. That's like calling Rocky6 is a filler. Besides it wasn't trying to keep up with anything nor wasting time for something based off it to catch up to it (really I hate it when companies due that. Doing a game or manga in a differ media deserves a differ way of telling it).
Cloud didn't have any [blood] brothers, so no they wasn't talked about. The movie didn't really tell you that the baddies was the spiritual remains of Selphiroith.

Actually yes it did. Kadajj mentioned several times and so did Rufus and Cloud that Kadajj, Yazoo, and Loz we're Remnants of Sephiroth but needed Jenova's cells to be whole. For me the movie was amazing. I found it as a sequel. It didn't have to follow any of the other characters really because the original 7 for the ps1 was mainly about Cloud. It was cloud's story. All the other characters were just side stories really. Thats why the movie was mainly about Cloud.

They allured to the notion like 3 times and they only said it once near the middle. But this leads to Japanese media biggest problem: the improper use of English. Remnants is an old English word used for pieces that come from a broken unit; such as platoon or front line. Using it for a person or piece of a body doesn't fit this word; thus making the meaning unclear. This was never corrected until the END of the movie.
Batman is about Bruce Wayne and he still have tons of interaction. :l

If you wanted you can argue that they are using the 2nd meaning of the word which is kin to linger. This is also points away to what they really are since it would mean two things:
1.They aren't really there as they are ghost of the same man which gives immoral sense and wouldn't make much sense.
2.They are (like in the 1st post to you) part of Clouds old platoon.
The movie was still a fail because of the unnecessary action. We didn't need 2 bike fights. Cloud talks to people in the game.

But there are times when Cloud shows emotion to Aerith. The people who made Final Fantasy 7 made a really complicated love line. SO the only person who knows who likes who is the people who made it. ( B3

Its supposed to be Cloud and Tifa because the Cloud Aerith thing mainly came from Cloud thinking he was Zack. Aerith really likes Zack, not Cloud.
