Life Force was the first shooter I ever played. A few years ago, I was introduced to the significantly superior Salamander, and it remains my favorite shooter of all time.
yeah there's an anime for this, but you can tell it's as old as heck with the graphs of marcross, it's still pretty good the way lord british looks ftw XD
When I was growing up, I knew this game as "Life Force"...and thought it was the only one of its kind. Not until recent years did I learn of Gradius or Salamander...and I'm almost 24.
This was my absolute favorite piece of music from Life Force...epically done. Five stars for you.
If you like this tune, keep checking back. I will soon have the original version of this tune from the Salamander arcade cabinet(I don't own the original cabinet, but I have a copy of Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus for both the PlayStation and Sega Saturn - I will be ripping the music off the PlayStation version of Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus - in case you don't know, it contains Salamander, the arcade version of Life Force from Japan, and the Japanese-exclusive Salamander 2).

Was Starfield present in the MSX version of Salamander? I don't exactly remember if it's in there.

Yes it was(stage 3). Only the flame stage and its music is missing on the msx.

@Ace9921 Yes, it was. And it sounds incredible

The arcade version is good, but this version is even better! The PC Engine makes Gradius WAY WAY WAYYYY better!

@NeverMind0133 on arcad there 2 version of salamande:
salamander and lifeforce.
life force is an update with news level, music and the famous weapon from gradius.
the nes version is a port from the second one (so the name "lifeforce" is correct)
and the pce/turbograph is a port from the original.
