I make a motion we designate January, 25 s the other half of Christmas. A holiday we can go to our favorite restaurant or tavern, sing & celebrate, maybe party then return home to spend time with the family ,relax, chill out then take down the decorations till next year. December, 26 is a downer, we need something to keep christmas alive & maybe boost the economy too. Just think, today is 1/25 it could be a holiday ,so Merry Christmas till next year !

Run Rudolph Run basically is a reworking of Little Queenie (which, as others have noted, doesn't sound all that different from many other Chuck Berry tunes). Given its "very Berry" nature, I've always found it odd that it isn't a Chuck Berry composition. The credited writers are Johnny Marks (composer of that OTHER Rudolph song) and Marvin Brodie. That may explain why it's been excluded from various Chuck Berry compilations.

You are right about the link to Little Queenie. Also this is an original Chuck Berry song. The credit to Johnny Marks is just because he had the rights to the name "Rudolph". The other name (Marvin Brodie) is a mystery. He was not a musican and never wrote songs.  Maybe he had some business together with Chuck in the 50's, but Chuck never told us. So this is really a Chuck Berry song!

I enjoyed this video. Keep in mind, that this was recorded during the Cold War and what was invoked in it's lyrics were reflected (i.e. : "Whizzing like a shooting star" - the first operational jet fighter of the USAF, Lockheed's F-80 Shooting Star ; as well as "Whizzing like a saber jet - North American's F-86 Sabre / Sabrejet). Thank God NORAD was flying Air Superiority missions at the time, else the Soviet Air Force might have shot down Santa & Rudolph during their Christmas deliveries.
