you have a nice sounding voice...if i could suggest anything, it would be to hold your notes longer and try and connect the notes so the song flows. when you cut you notes short between the words the song starts to sound choppy, keep at it!

Good effort man, I have to say that I have problems liking it very much though.. To much "feeling" if you know what I mean. In this case in the shape of ambitious wailing-attempts that didn't really go all the way home. Or "the distance", if you will. The lyrics went a bit messy here and there also, and so did the phrasing sometimes. But hey, this IS a hard song, don't get me wrong! You get a B- ! ;)

I really did hate it. I felt I needed to come back to this vid after watching it and commenting a few days ago, I wanted to make sure I'd really paid attention to it. etc. etc. etc.

This IS just my opinion. I really dislike your version of this song. It felt like watching William Shatner sing it. (read up on his performance style.) Again, this is ONLY MY opinion. I know there are others out there who love you. I'm just not one of them.

Alright voice, but I thought it seemed a bit spastic with strange breaks. Also this is the slowest tempo I've ever heard this song performed at. TOO slow. Take it even ten beats a minute faster, and I think it would be better. It seemed at parts like a painful love song where you kind of wished poison would be consumed.

I agree with everybody here! You have a great voice!  I would just milk those phrases and maybe try to take some big breaths and string some phrases together. Imagine your voice is a big 747 coming in for a smooth landing on a long runway. Keep the momentum going in the energy of the phrase. You've got the pipes though! Impressive!

no there are no different versions in europe and America. BUT the movie version is different from the actual song. Michael Bolton made this song before they used it in Hercules. And so they changed some lines, so that it would fit in perfectly in the movie.

But it hadn't come out until the movie had. Hercules was nominated for an Academy award for best ORIGINAL song for it. So... yeah. You did great though, I kind of liked the airiness some people were complaining about, I thought it gave it a character and style to it. Anyways, good job but the movie created the song.
