  • nice gm heater core lol

  • Weather is crazy, Earlier this year(in pennsylvania) it started warming up in the end of march. Had about a week of nice days, and all of the suddeon on Apri 1( april fools day) we had about 3-4 inches of snow. It was nice the one day and wake up the next with 3 inches of snow on the ground.

  • That was soooo flooded lol

  • you should push the clutch in wile you do that little less stress on the starter

  • I don't know much about trucks. What does the Choke do?

  • @jonny2k100 it cuts off air to the top of the carb so more fuel will be pulled in to aid with a cold start

  • What engine does it have?

  • show me your barefoot while cranking

  • heh, I used to drive an old 1978 International Loadstar 1700 School bus that started like this on Monday mornings. Had to pump the hell out of it to get it started.

    Great video!

  • got to love thous internationals

  • i went from videogames to starting a car o.o howw???

  • nice buried blaster lol

  • your really flooded it

  • is that carb a bit fucked?

  • @BlueBirdTC2000RE yeah its well overdue for a rebuild

  • @wagner59270 haha yeah, i can fuckin tell.

  • The accelerator pump must be shot you shouldn't have to pump it more than about 3 times. If its good then it's flooded and you should shut off the choke.

  • I feel so sorry for your starter and your battery. how that battery lasted that long is beyond me

  • you flooded it.

  • @xbox819 you sir, are incorrect

  • you pumped it way to much

  • @xxbal1inxx i would tend to disagree, as would the international when you try to start it cold

  • COOL ITERNATIONAL

  • same thing i go through every time i start my 345, pump it full of gas, flood it, hold it wide open to clear it out then repeat the pumping and leave it at half choke for five minutes. but it lugs like a diesel and is nearly impossible to kill.

  • @wildbill0088 Hey Bill! It would be wild if you did a video of you trying to start your "345"! We'd like it!

  • I recently bought a 1974 International fire truck from my home town. I had a hard time starting it until the fire chief told me to turn the ignition on for about 20 seconds to run the fuel pump. Then set the choke to half. Starts right up every time now. --- Does anyone know how much gas the tank holds? The tank is a passenger side step tank. I'm curious what it'll cost me to drive about 80 miles to a firefighter convention.

  • o well it it legal in your stat it is in illinios

  • i think every car u have has a cracked windshied lol

  • yeah its a by product of living in montana

  • Hey Wayne, you oughta put that pink hat on I'll bet you would look nice in that.

  • It must be Global Warming! Al Gore said so don't you know! LOL

  • global warming my ass haha

  • Nice video, and a nice truck that you have. That must have been very odd about there being snow in April, and as you said, such weather doesn't look right. You did a nice job on this video. Hope to watch more of your videos later. :)

    Peace,

    -Matt

  • Good Battery! But how can anyone put a gasoline engine in a truck?? That thing must consume incredible amounts of gas...

  • oooo nnnoooooooooo hahahha i love your vids i made a model farm just like yours

  • Nice truck!

  • LOL

  • god damn. you make me want to do drugs. you must be canadian!

  • Like an American version of Davesfarm, and I do like those old Loadstars! Good stuff man. Man if there ever comes a day that Ive got a little place in the country, and a few old cars and trucks, and think which one am I gonna start today? Than I'll be in heaven!

  • Offhand I'd say you flooded it. Sounded good when it finally started though. What state are you in? My guess is Michigan.

  • yeah Im pretty sure it was flooded and Im about 600 miles west of michigan right on the north dakota border about 25 miles from sidney montana

  • you are right about being a cold blooded pig.try putting new spark plugs in it then it will start up quicker.

  • motor was rebuilt less than 1k miles ago so Im pretty sure the plugs are still good

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like you forgot to hold down on the clutch. lol.....

  • do you have a new head unit in that?? thats funny lol

  • yeah its not new just an old JVC I had laying around

  • nice truck man! is it a 345?

  • it is indeed and a built 345 to boot

  • very nice. i actually saw another video of your truck and you said it was pushing 300 ponies.

  • yeah Im not 100% sure what its actually putting out but based on past experience and the math Im fairly sure that its a little over or very close

  • man strong battery

  • not too bad the ameristarts I get from hedahls are pretty good

  • what kind of boots were you wearing and what size are they

  • redwings pecos and a size 11.5

  • Does that have breaker point ignition or electronic?

  • I thought the starter motor or the battery would go before she finally fired up. Couple of shots of ether should do the trick. By the way, what kind of battery is in that truck?

  • well ether tends to bend valves and generally do bad things to motors so I kind of shy away from that stuff... specially since this is a fresh rebuild... the battery is an ameristart from hedahls in sidney and it uses breaker point ignition... its always been kinda cold blooded... but Im pretty sure I just had it flooded this go around

  • Man awesome video... you should do all your cold starts like this, way better than before!

  • yes start the A. please. please.please. :)

  • yup we will for sure very soon... wont be this weekend I guess cause I just found that I dont have any gas and I dont want to run to town to get some but I will for sure try next week

  • sweet cant wait

  • Happy Spring man!!! haha.

  • PUMP IT PUMP IT (lol). great video, bud.

  • I was gonna say, if it didnt want to start; give it a shot of starting fluid; but probably only as a absolute last resort...yes just about anything with a carb can be VERY cold blooded...some things more than others though....I still cant believe it freakin snowed though IN APRIL!!!! of all months!!!...gotta love mother nature ya know :)

  • i thought u would run the batt dead but itt startted

  • this vid should be called "How to run your starter motor for 5 Min. straight" :-)

  • Ha ha yeah Im pretty sure I had it flooded but it sure was beig a cold blooded pig that morning lol

  • can u show a vid of the john deere A starting in the snow.

  • well the snow is all gone now so that one would prolly have to wait a while... hopefully we dnt get anymore snow till october

  • OK, forgot something, what the fuck happened to global warming

  • yeah I know what you mean dude... Ive been saying that for a while now... just another scare tactic to try to keep everyone in fear of everything

  • OK I really want to see the model A

  • hahaha thanks man lol no fire today

  • I can't believe you guys got snow.

Here in Indiana it was 82 degrees today.

This a good video for the cranker wankers.

Crank that truck with those pointed cowboy boots , next time maybe you could use shorts. ;-)~

    (just kidding)

  • I dont wear shorts for fear of blinding someone I dont think our liability insurance would cover that LMFAO

  • ha ha it was 80 here in wisconsin today

  • Dave would be proud of the pumping.

  • indeed even though Im pretty sure I flooded it with all that pumping

  • time for a new carb?

  • yes well past time... plus its runng a two barrel that is too small for the way I built the motor so it really chokes it down, Ill get a 4 barrel on there eventually

  • wow, another broken windshield! lol

nothing passes inspection here even with a little crack

  • yeah I afraid they wouldnt let me drive anything that I own over there lol

  • PUMP IT

  • So, you have to buy the seed, then take it back to town to get cleaned? How do they clean seed?

  • basically they run it through a screen that is sized for whatever you happen to be running through it with a large fan blowing through the bottom so all the seeds that are large enough fall to the bottom and all the light seeds and chaff blow to the top... weve got a small grain cleaner here at the ranch and I could do a quick how to and explanation if yud like

  • Well, I would love to see some seed cleaning, if you have the time. I spend some time, this winter, on the golf coarse, with a seed salesman. He told me a few things about the business.
