Hi if I'm being honest with you....I don't care for the DSP on the valve special at all. Noisy and cheap sounding. I haven't opend one up so I'm not the one to ask on modding them,but I don't see why not. I'd bypass that DSP though(at least on a switch).

Layboomo, what is the speaker config you are using for this vid please?

Thanks, I have a 16 ohm 8" eminence in the combo combined with a 16Ohm celestion vintage 30 in the bottom cab(open back) for a total of 8 ohms. I got the eminence on Ebay for less than $10 and it sounds pretty good even on it's own....much better than the stock speaker. I also have a couple different value caps on switches in that one to go from voxy to marshall. Best of luck with your mods!

Oh, my final question to you. The schematics I found says Silver/Gold Mods by you. Could this be Voxy mods? Appreciate. Thanks again for all the info.

The silver/gold mods are more marshall values and they were posted by me with a schematic by steve milberger,but they ARE NOT MY creations! They were simply a re-post from the 18 watt thread. I have done some tweaks on them,but the basic mods are from the 18 watt thread. No problem if you want to email me...if you go to the epiphone forum and click on my user name you'll get the info. I just don't want to print it here.

Guess what! As I was searching for the mods for EVJ, yesterday, I think I found your circuit online. It says mods by Layboomo. That should be yours, I think. If that's the case I think I will make these mods myself 'cause I like this tone!!! I might just add a standby sw and few other things. Thanks.

I have done several versions of the valve jr mods....marshalll,vox etc....but they are all based on tried and true mods from the 18watt site that are now in the valve jr repository on sewatt dot com which is a monster thread of mods! Check it out!

Thanks for the reply. Funk 49 has also been one of my favorite songs for many years, BTW. I just got an EVJ I am wanting to do the mods myself. I just got done building an AC-30 clone myself. That one rocks. I am not creative enough to come up with the mods myself yet. I will check these sites also sounds like changing to a Hammond tranny sounds like a good idea without paying arm and leg for MM trannys. Thanks again for the reply. Damn, this sounds really good. Are you using any other stomp box effects or just plain modded EVJ? And what kind a mods in this EVJ?

Thanks! That is just straight in with the guitar NO Pedals at all. The amp was modified with a turretboard from turretboards dot com with voxy value components and a few of my own tweaks thrown in,but you can also do the voxy mods on the stock PC board. Check SEWatt dot com for voxy mods.  It also has a hammond 125 ESE output transformer which makes a HUGE difference too!
