i was there, the first song bombed , he looked nervous ran to the stage like a lunatic jumped up and down and screamed out comon you fuckers to all 50 of us, free tickets from the bbc, let out the first slap of love games and they went down in history, this was just after the riots too and was in brixton venue now called the fridge

Allways and still a fan, saw them open with this at the Coronet in Woolwich in 1985 when they recorded Physical Presence album live,was fantastic ,the original line up was great King,Lindup and the Gould brothers top notch,best live band going in there day.

I saw the Level 42 Boyz live in 2002 in York and they opened with this song, "Almost There". It was stunning. This is one of my favourite songs of theirs, and in that style in general. Good choice of opening number!

I love level 42, but they didn`t invent jazz Fusion. They did however love it create something new out of it. [my opinion of course]

its not even really jazz fusion, its more part of the new wave movement with jazz fusion elements...

although they did take jazz fusion to its highest in mainstream music. sad that its not really what people want anymore :(
