Looks like pine wood. Bet it's dry too. Let's see ya do it wit Oak or Michigan Maple. Then I'll be impressed......

he is good at cutting wood but this type of tree is easy to cut :) with normal axe thou it might take more time.

the use of the tire is to keep the wood from flinging everywhere however when he was done, he flung it everywhere.....

we need to see more pictures and even a map and slow motions clips to know how you did it.
the diameter of the tire, which car was it from and the year of production.
the type of wood and the location of the video which this project was done.

Does the wood have to be dry hardwood? I cut a lot of semi dry pine and i wonder if this would work?

Next step: mechanically rotate the chopping surface so as not to tire the legs while manoeuvring around it.

i like to use this tecnique but the wood gets a bit to small if your outside for a longtime. it burns out a little bit to fast.
