I remember 10 years back I used to play the demo of this game. After 3 years I found out that one of my cousin have the full version. He consider this game nothing and never ever played it the way it was meant to be played.
He refused to give me the CD. One greedy bastard. :D I steal the cd. I know it was wrong but knowing he did not treated the game and the cd right, I am proud I saved the game. :D
I will say that this game is very smartly build. Make it again without changing the graphics
good old games . com you can buy both seven kingdoms games from there, and youll get some goodies along the games as well. the cost is whopping 5 $ :D from a good old game like this thats a bargain.
and theres some other really good games on that site as well, its really great since how often you find a store that sells old games anymore?
music, gameplay, details... everything. this game is just epicly epic. i had great times as a teenager laughing with my buddy about how awesome this game, specially spies were... when they had to decide whether to be loyal to you and give you the conquered kingdom or rise against your nation.

@ayie960 Don't wanna get into details here, but the estates are far older than the nations. Historically, i think the most accurate word to describe them is christian goths or germanic peoples that settled in seashore Europe. The game, for instance, does make a difference between Vikings and Normans, where the Normans are more technically advanced (armed with a cross bow) and at the same level the chinese must have had at that time.
The game itself has been released completly under GPL and modified version of it (running on modern machines) is available at 7kfans dot com
However music itself is not included and you still have to own old CD of it or whatever to have it.

The music from 1:02 on reminds me of the earth quakes. Suddenly the screen shakes and you hear a "Wuuuaaahhhhh" and 30% of your population just died.

One is "Oui, mon commandant", the other i think is "a la fois, mon commandant" but not sure.
