@lAleksl Stars and Fire Flowers both made Mario and Luigi Super - it is an inconsistency. They were called Super even though they had fire power, and there were no super mushrooms. In some episodes Mario and Luigi became Super by means other than power-ups.

i never watched it as a kid (dont ask me why, just didnt), and decided to watch an episode. didnt get past after the intro, cuz the whole rap was just cliche and lame. you'll probably say "rap was the new thing in the 80s/90s", but did they really needed to downgrade themselves with that mess??

@Yoshithedino123 Most video-game based games weren't true to the games they were based on. When Luigi touched a star in the show similar stuff happened to him.

This is too real! In elementary school, my best friend and I use to memorize that opening dance sequence, and perform it during recess. The kids would laugh at us, now I know why :-)

The show got cancelled by 1991, after 144 episodes. It got sequels in the form of SMB 3 and Super Mario World.
