Doris Duke's main residence was Duke Farms in News Jersey. Rough Point was built by Alfred Vanderbilt and sold to the Duke Family in 1922 by it's second owner, William Leeds. Ms Duke also had a home in Hawaii.
The movie was filmed at an estate named Old Westbury Gardens, in New York state.

Thank you for filming parts of Rough Point. I've been wanting to see it since watching the movie "Doris and Bernard" which was all about Doris Duke's life. It's a beautiful estate and the grounds are very pretty with all the flowers. Thanks again!! I enjoyed it.
