  • The crowd is supposed to be the crowd at Leeds fest, cause thats what the song is about

  • Whoah oooohhh !

  • If the whole music thing doesn't work out in the end, Ryan Jarman should do audiobooks.

  • My Last Name is Martell O.o

  • poo lololol

  • why is there a Razorlight crowd at a Cribs gig?

  • @harisbluebiru

i'm in indienesia, i like it too...

  • HAVE A LISTEN TO US!!

  • @scottymacIII Oh my you're so hardcore.

  • I wish i was one of those manacins. I would listen to the cribs and feel my plastic boobies.

  • thumbs up if the remembrance of the phone commercial brought you here

  • @dryce The cribs brought me here so I had to thumb you down :3

  • These guys live in Portland Oregon currently, they're from England originally.

  • @youreviltwin26 do they heck! i live in Leeds,UK and they have been going round the nightclub scene over here, as i met them and had a photo with ross last night at wire.

  • I don't know what it is about this band but.... I really REALLY like their sound. It's so refreshing compared to everything else I've listened to

  • Brilliant, search 'Spiders - Where does this leave us?'

  • best indie- band ever :)

  • Makes me proud to live in Wakefield :P

  • lol my last name is martelli this song is just gay

  • wakefield is a fucking pile of post apocalyptic remains but they make up for it cos they are a totally awesome band

  • The Yorkshire strokes

  • The Cribs join Razorlight, Noisettes, Darwin Deez and British Sea Power at Get Loaded in the Park – Sunday 12th June, Clapham Common. Limited early bird tickets selling fast!

  • telus picks the best songs

  • fucking tune

  • dude! my name is martell!!!

  • tuneee

  • marr stole the originality from the cribs.

  • before i didnt like marr because i thought the cribs were great because of their simplicity, but marr has done something great with the cribs. two guitars is a great sound

  • I wonder how they do this song..??

  • better atmosphere than reading festival.

  • if not for the accent, i think i would hate this song

  • @TheLukeMaxfield the cribs DONT need marr, & he did NOT add much to their music. they were way better before him in my opinion, although they are still a great band with him. i dont know why they wanted him in the band...although it definately didnt hurt having him with them.

  • @unitedsnakesofamrica They just clicked, socially and musically. And of course Marr added something, almost all the new songs are based on twin-guitar riffs, which Ryan never did when he was the only guitarist.

  • I DONT AGREE WITH YOU AT ALL, MARR ADDS A LOT OF CLASS TO THEIR SOUND AND MAKES THEM SPECIAL i´ve been for a long time into pop music and the cribs are not bad but their sound is just run of the mill, they didnt sound original.... before he joined them. Now you see marr´s riffs and perfect class atmosphere in their songs .. a class that only marr is able to bring.. You´re disrespecting the greatest acoustic guitar ever by stating that.....

  • I love the Cribs. Fuck Marr though, The Cribs dont need him, just like Morrissey didnt!

  • @mimis1209 nobody fucks the marr

  • @mimis1209 nahhhh he's added so much to their music, just like he did to Morrissey.

  • @mimis1209 you´re a fucking simpleton, for how long have you been into pop music? for one year? such stupid comments, you understand a shit about what´s class and unique sound to music... marr gave it to the smiths and it´s obvious that he gave them the special sound too in their last record it´s just that you cant appreciate that but for me, the cribs were a lot worse before marr joined them , now they are in a different league , marr´s a legend the best acoustic guitar ever..

  • @johannesjuanes

The problem is one of chemistry though, isn't it? I'll readily admit that Marr is probably one of the finest rock guitarists of his generation. The Smiths made a handful of records of the finest records to grace the 80's. However, I don't think Marr does add to the Cribs. I think what made/makes the Cribs special is creaking nature of the setup. The songs are rough and ready, barely hanging together. I don't think Marr's style works as well in tandem with that.

  • Putting Wakey on the map........ : )

  • i love the cribs.

  • i cannnot believe i got introduced to this band by way of American Eagle... but that's all cool in the end. thank you american eagle for introducing me to these guys

  • this song still makes me feel happy.

  • Me too :)

  • damn. thats all i can say.

  • it really reminds me of like

    you were always the one

  • I wish they played this song last night. But last night was awesome regardless. :D

  • I haven't heard this song in soooo long!!!

Thank god the band was recommended, or I probably wouldn't have thought to listen to them again!

  • anybody know what kind of guitar that dude is playing. My guess is a fender Duo Sonic??

  • its a mustang, well good im saving up for one

  • WHAT?!

  • best guitarist :)

  • does he fuck! he'sgot shit loads of style!

  • wow here I can see the difference between Ryan and Gary's voices... Im not able to notice that when I listem to them on my mp3.

and their voices are really distinct... this music has a plus for being sung by the twins together <3

  • "Don't you know?"

  • after all those post hardcores, theres nothing much better than listening to the cribs....

  • Im trying to teach myself this song on my ukulele!!!

    its gonna be so sickkk!

    lol

  • NeverShoutNever fan? I like NSN! too, but I find mixing that with kicks ass indie rock like the Cribs to be weird. Are you gonna make a video of it? I'll be sure to check it out if you do.

  • That would be good to hear!!

  • i am intreguied . .

  • intreguied?

  • Intrigued.

  • Did you learn it?

  • @dontdismusic

    finished it ? do a vid so^^

  • This song just shows how much The Cribs have grown as a band and reinforces the fact that they should've got the Mercury for "Men's Needs, Women's needs, whatever"

  • Sounds a lot like Dirty Pretty Things' "Bang Bang, You're Dead" .

  • I thought the same thing when I heard the intro

  • DPT RIP

  • i love the strong wakefeild accents

    not being scarcastic

  • i think it makes there music... these guys are awsome

  • yeah they are god

  • seein similarities between this and pidgeon detectives "i found out".Dont all lose ur heads cuz i said that, just an observation.

  • lol

  • I see what you mean, just a shame The Cribs don't seem to get many fans or recognition and the Pigeon Detectives had loads after their first album... (not saying I don't like Pigeon Detectives cos I do)

  • MOMMY!

  • DADDY!

    lol

  • haha XD

  • ^.^ that was one of the most random comment's I think I've ever posted XD

  • Me too =P

  • i've been trying to figure out what song this was from because i really liked it when it was in the telus commercial with the birds i think ?

  • not sure, but know it was telus commercial ;D

  • its very easy to insult the fratellis if you try

  • HEY!! this is the song the telus commercial

  • You cuold not show this video in the U.S lol

  • Why, now?

  • Because the whole coutnry is afraid of letting little johing see a pair of breast, lol, that's why.

  • Maybe I'm just daft, but I didn't see any breasts in this video - not any non-mannequin ones, anyway. And those would be fine.

  • ah they'd still most likely sensor it.

  • Bah! I have more faith in American censors than that! I mean, women are now having sex with Carl's Jr. hamburgers and catfighting in lingerie over a Miller Lite or whatever; I think we can handle some mannequin breasts. Not like you can't see them in stores, anyway.

  • ste video sta bn kabron i la rola no c diga zi rifa xido the cribs

  • Dees guys are too kool

  • my hometown glory :)

  • so you came on to this video to say "THE STROKES RULE.!!!" They're a good band (The strokes) and (the Cribs) but why go on to a Cribs video to say it?

  • THE STROKES RULE.!!!

  • THEY DO.!!!

  • because i was bored and the strokes are sick.(:

  • Boring !!!! LA LA LA LA LA LA !!!

  • Cribs are awesome

  • Tard, they sound nothing like the fratellies, the cribs are amazing!

  • exept theyre better than the faggotellis

  • ! dude? how could you compare them? and how could you insult the fratellis?!?!? I can't comprehend....

  • belting that

  • look up bovine republic. it's a song the cribs wrote about Pigeon Detectives. oh and fuck pigeon detectives by the way.

  • maybe its weed... its hard to find in london but you can still get it.

  • "someones got there eye on you now dont ya know"

  • and a 'smoke in the smoke'

    crack in london :)

  • This song's about crack! "We cover insignificant miles for a miniature bottle". The bottles are used for smoking crack which apparently they like to do and of course the name of the song.

Still catchy even if it is about crack though :)

  • Does anyone know the make and model of Ryan's guitar in this video?

  • fender mustang/bronco, i think

  • its a mustand i think, got two pick ups

  • does the guy with the ramones shirt end up in the bathroom?

  • ryan jarman is a legend

    hes really cool

  • i love this song

  • It was in a Telus commercial.

  • Well... I don't see how that warrants a negative rating... cause it WAS.

  • the cribs will rule the world and behead all wolves jk their good though

  • this band rocks. Shit I should have seen them live.

  • i could have seen the Arctic Monkeys for £4 like a week before they got massive. i didnt because i didnt wanna go alone :| that sucked. but yeh, you should see the cribs, they're awesome live. x

  • the cribs are the best band ever

  • the song is about crack cocaine being smoked in Martell miniature bottles. Martell is a brand of cognac.

The Libertines mention mini-martell bottles in their song 'Tomblands'

  • hahahaha thanks for that

i thought martell was a name xD

  • great music, makes my ears jump around

  • I meant Indie

  • not nessecrely, music should e labelled, otherwise when people ask you what music yo like you've got to give a long lis of it all and most you cn;'t remember therefore you just go "I like Inie :-)" does that say owt?

  • Yeah, but if there weren't lables, people wouldn't ask what kind of music you like in the first place.

  • theres a ramones shirt in this video

  • lol oh yeah i see the shirt ahahah

  • hmmm....THE CRIBS ROCK!

    Arguement Not so rock...

  • Fuck you flange.. of course different music should be labeled you prick!

  • people who "label" music should be dragged out in the street and shot.

emo, punk, hip hop, rnb, its all bollocks...

music is either good or bad, this lot, they're not bad...

  • its called individuality...

    flange you ass...

    thats why they have labels...

people just dont call you that one guy they call you by your name you ignorant asshole...and guess what a name is...A FUCKIN LABEL!!!!

    STFU!!!

    YOU FAIL!!!

  • Is that how you argue a point in the real world drumkrazy?

    I can just imagine:

"FUCK YOU MAN, NUTMEG HAS NO PLACE IN A GOOD QUALITY CARBONARA, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU LOSER"

  • But people don't really respond, or at least not in a productive way, to being flamed mercilessly. I don't agree with Mr. Flange, but it's not as though he wants to eat your children or something. If you don't think he is going to change his opinion, then give him a thumbs down and get on with your day. If you harbor a different opinion, then present him with it, and maybe he'll decide your opinion is correct. If not who cares what he thinks?

  • much agreed...

    =)

  • kik ass

  • good stuff.

    ill be here all week.

  • I agree with Synapscape2. He's clearly a passive and knowledgeable guy who bases his comments on fact. In fact I don't think his comment was unnecessarily hostile or defensive at all. He's probably of sound mental health and has more than enough activities available to him to stave off boredom. I am entirely confident that he made the most of his time in the education system and contributes to society. Reality, knowledge, modesty, compassion, logic and common sense are entirely overrated.
