good game but i miss the open world map. It was so fun to grind some lvl and go somewhere you were'nt supposed to go and get better gear. I think this is what FF series have been missing since ff7(if i remember right it was the last one with open map)

Is it me or is Square Enic going downhill. Ever since XII they only been focusing on the game systems, cinematic picture and character designs. Their stories, subplots, side quests and easter eggs have not been exciting as getting all the gold items in X-2 or the stupid weak weapons that took forever to get in XII like the dujuro dagger or something

From what I've seen it looks like they've made many improvements to the gameplay. I'm just worried about the story. FF13 started off well but became weak and pretentious when it became all about the gods and Barthandalus' petty motives for destruction. Also I don't want to be going 'wtf just happened' when I finish a game. They need to rein this mad horse in, it's already out of control. FF12 had similar issues. Fortunately Type-0 and Versus look a more grounded. Fingers crossed!

@LegacyofAbaco 2/3 of the people who bought 13 in Japan don't want this game because of their experience with 13. Square Enix lost 2/3 of final fantasy fans on this game. It has been the lowest selling final fantasy numbered title EVER. I'm sorry but you can't sit there and say "we don't own the ff series" (well obviously we don't) but my point is that the games are made for the fans, if we want to complain, then we will. I've been playing a couple of oldchool FF games for the last couple of months (currently playing FFIX) and I just can't believe in what this series has turned into. I mean, what is all this nonsensical, over the top, pretentious and cringe-worthy shit? Let alone Serah's outfit, overall annoyingness and tacky story continuation.

Thanks god they announced a re-release for FFX to have something FF to play while we wait for FFvSXIII; though I don't have much faith in Nomura either. KH is garbage.
