@ Isctony: To my opinion, some kind of processing is done with all those 'relaxing rain video's' and stuff: when I make a recording myself, it get's too 'loud' after a few minutes, while those video's on the internet are sutainable for hours...

I put a video camera in the kitchen window when it was raining, then I transfered the video to an AVI file. I guess I should copyright that process.

I listen 2this a whole lot. other rain sounds just dont compare, they sound like running water.I've added this to my playlist 33 times. So thats 2hours & 45 minutes of this great sound.

PS. It helps me alot to sleep through the night and has a nice calming effect.

P.S. I couldn't add the other storm ones you mentioned to the same playlist because the sound level just varied too much (at least between this video and the first of the other videos)...is there any way to control for that?

The only way I would know to keep the sound level is by using an AVL ( automatic volume limiter ) if you had one. Could come with a good sound card or with audio software.

Thanks so much for this! ... it's the best just-rain video I've found so far for the quality and crispness of its sound.

I love the sound of rain in general, but also like to have a *variable* and pleasant white noise type sound I can use when concentrating or trying to sleep.

I've put 15 copies of this in one playlist so I can "PlayAll" automatically (with only 1-2 seconds of silence between each one), which is totally great. (to be continued)

Great video - and calming. This summer was so dry here in West Virginia that this was a much anticipated sound. Very calming - I was tired anyway, listening to this almost put me to sleep. Everybody needs to relax a lot more. Thanks for sharing!

I have a load of marking to do and I cannot concentrate with random odd noises in the background. I often turn on the fan or blowdryer, which is horrible to do (waste of energy, electric bill, not to mention temperature regulation - I know it was stupid; you do not need to tell me that) and now I can listen to this. Wonderful! Soothing and constant.
