  • That, is adorab

  • Nice job saving the bird :-)

  • So sweet!

  • Youtube made me paranoid. I thought for sure something was going to jump out at me.

  • @Alonsos305 same with me lol

  • awe poor little thing. I'm glad you saved it! <3

  • humming birds are one of many amazing birds.

good thing you let it go because you cannot keep a wildlife bird like hummingbirds even to care for while being hurt.

by law you have to call the proper authorities.

but thats just the law, i would probably do the same

  • FB is cool when it shows cool people like you doing awesome stuff

  • @robbsnyder3 You saw this on FB??? WoW!

  • he was grateful to you fo saving his life! good job!

  • Good job!

  • aw-ww-w can I get one?

  • i think hes saying thanku for saving me .... hes your friend for life now, cant believe he sits on your hand ...so tame wow

  • Wow, great story. They are amazing little things.

  • That IS good that u let him leave cuz ther wild life and ther meant to be wild and SUCK BLOOD!!! Bluh! Bluh!! Lol jk I meant flowers^^

  • Good thing you let him go, they really don`t last long in captivity unless under very special surcumstances. Its a blessed day indeed , the Native Amercians believe they are magical and the name means ~joyous one~ so mabe it was an omen to look a little closer at the little joys in your life you may be missing something :)

  • never mind to my other comment i didn't hear the last part

  • did you buy him or cath him?

  • OH MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • OMG I WANT ONE I WANT ONE

  • i tried saving 2 birds on the street but they ended up dieing but i gave them the right food and water but i guess they were injured, anyway thats nice of u to save it

  • awww look at her little feet

  • not in usa it is also in Bangladesh

  • What a wonderful thing you did, most people would have just given up at first sight of the poor tlittle thing.

  • That is the cutest hummingbird ever!! :D

  • Thats sweet of you that to took this cutie in. how is he doing?

  • I wouldn't have been able to leave him if he asked to stay.

  • I just rescued a baby humming birds that my cats were playing with...hes not alot injured he just has a broken wing and cant fly..im not sure what to do..Any advice..Please help..And where can you buy nectar?

  • your good heart ... God takes good care of little

  • cute....

  • this person makes me feel worthless lol i wish i had a hummingbird

  • Lol I Turned Off Volume Instaed Of Turn It Up And Check Around The Vid X3

  • Perhaps you are right TTerror97..hehehe

    XD

  • I can't imagine how hard it must've been to leave like that when it refused to leave you. I don't think I could've done the same at that point.

  • lol @ the "chris crocker has nothing on this" tag... nice video! that's such a sweet story.

  • Do they get use to humans hands that easy ?

Normaly a wild animal is scared of humans like hell

  • @Hyberpsycrow somehow humming birds are just not scared of us. I think they know they are fast little bastards w/ sharp beaks and aren't threatened by our slow movements and quiet talking. lol

  • Beautiful story..I wish It would happen to me

  • its cute

  • Awww, how fantastic! The fact that he got so attached to you really says a lot about animal character.

  • It is so great that you helped him and let him go. So many people would have tried to keep wild birds that they find. It is a very selfish act, though usually they mean well.. You're awesome! Makes me happy that at least SOME people here on youtube that post videos of wild birds they find don't excessively touch/coo/pet/talk to it, scaring the shit out of it.

  • awww taht is so awesome!

  • i just got one, the same, today, it wont move, help!!!!!!! anyone know why?!?!

  • What the!? That is so cool! I never imagined you could hold one.

  • There's a market next to my house that sells nectar for humming birds. You have to shake a bag of the pink powder in 200ml of filtered water till it become pinky and transparent. It says it protects the hummer's health, and they love it! in 3 days they drink everything.. Love them!

  • aaawnnnn

  • Cool video and story. Thanks for sharing!Hummers rule!

  • did you raise it?

  • niiiice!

  • Fantastic! Wonderful story!

  • Cool story!

  • Mine, Mine! Lol. I love it :3

  • OMG that is the most AWESOME THING EVER!!!!! What a cute lil bird :)

  • same thing happened to me with a turtle. I had it since it was tiny after a few years it got pretty big so i took it to the lake to let him go. he would swim away for 10-15 mins then come right back. id rub his head then put him back and he just kept doing it until i left.

  • awesome vid!

  • Technically, helping a hummingbird for a few hours doesn't make it your 'pet'. If you had kept the hummingbird, and had it live with you for a while, then the word 'pet' would apply.

  • That is outstanding. I love Humming Birds, good job saving this little guy.

  • @ODENGRACIE Me,too! My mom and I love hummingbirds.

  • @mermaidamp One of these days I'll post a video of my cat watching the hummingbirds fly around my feeder. He makes bizarre sounds and chatters his teeth. Its cute but of course he wants to eat them. Good thing he's an inside cat.

  • they scare me when they get in my face. other than that i have a feeder and love the little bastards.

  • such a cutie pie

  • Sounds to me like the little one was thanking you for cooling him off. ^^

  • I would have kept him/her, he/she is ADORABLE, sweet self. Fed him/her sugar water and nectar, kept him in a large cage so he wouldn't get hurt, but let him be free when I'm awake. So precious. It's so sweet he/she was so attached, and almost saddening he kept coming back instead of going into the wild again. I think he loved you. So damn cute.

  • That is soo cute!

  • aww i want one!!!soo cute!!!

  • AMAZING!!!! i love these birds! they always come to feed on the canna lilies i plant for them! how beautiful the gratitude he showed you by flying back to you...Thank you for saving a life.

  • damn u got enough tags?

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats sweet

  • sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • should have kept it, if it was attached to u, and u knew what to feed it, i'm pretty sure u would have been a good owner

  • Nice!

  • Beautiful little birds. Pity we don't have any here in UK.

Kudos to you for saving its life

  • Thank you for helping that little bird. Made me cry. I hope that someone is that kind to you one day. He really trusts you, he knew you had a kind heart.

  • donde hay una tienda de venta de colibires en cautiverio favor de informarme al 0445513409670 estoy en el d.f. le agradecere su amable informacion

  • This is just too beautiful!! I have always been absolutely fascinated with hummingbirds, but didn't know anythiing about them.

  • that was so cool!!! it was good that he found you to help him! :D

  • They're the most adorable birds, they are sociable and love to be near humans, they don't get scared easily and when you talk tot hem they stan still and look at you at the eyes, I know this because my mom speaks to them and sometimes they even fly around her and make special noises for her, I love them and I think that they're the cutest birds outthere and they're quite clever too, but they're also very territorial and when they fight it's terrible, once one died after a fight in my garden :(

  • Awesome experience!

  • hummingbirds are awsome little creatures

  • GOOD JOB GIRL!!

  • @Clutzii It doesn't necessarly mean that it hers. Some animals grow attached to people very quickly out of the goodness they do. This one just wanted to show her that it was thankful for her help since it can't speak English and say, "Oh thank you very much kind person." Lol. But I could look at that bird and see that it was thankful. =)

  • But but... if it comes back to you, its yours. :(

  • aww its so tiny cute

  • Not that many people would do that. I can already tell you're an animal lover. Cute little thing.

  • First time I have ever seen a hummingbird perch on a finger. That was awesome thanks for posting this vid. =)

  • youre a good person :D

  • its ssooooooo adorable!!! does it peck?

  • @thomasshohio The ones I've captured are very nice and dossile.

  • THAT IS SO AMAZING!!!! i've always wondered if it was possible to hold a humming bird. what an incredible thing.

  • You did a very good thing!

  • its so cuute & smallll<3

  • so adorable

  • i never realized how small they were before i saw this video

  • OMG!!!!! Now you know what Saint Francis of Asissi felt like!!!! What a beautiful experience God let you enjoy!!! TenStarsplus !!!!!!!! I really loved this video!!! Thank you for sharing this experience with everyone!!!! It is priceless beyond words!!!! OnemillionStarsplus for this!!!!!!

  • I definitely want more than one!

  • OMG That's so cute! I would have struggled to let it go!

  • timid bird species

  • What a wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing it!

  • Do you also have a budgie?

  • No I sure don't... I did as a kid though! Loved that little bird! Why do you ask? :)

  • A baby hummingbird sat on my head once!

  • That is too funny!

  • Wow that was too cool! What is the life span of one of these little guys? They seem so delicate!

  • the avg humming bird lives about 4 years but hummingbirds living off of humming bird feeders can live up to 10 years!

more than double a humming birds life by feeding them!!! 1 part sugar 4 parts water, boiled water is best.

    cheers!

  • @theafrodude22 simple syrup?

  • Comment removed

  • Good rule of thumb!

  • @theafrodude22 Sorry to correct you but it is 4 water to 1 sugar - in other words: 1 cup of water takes 1/4 cup of sugar or 4 cups of water take 1 cup of sugar. The other way around you'd have a sticky mess :)

  • @OlliMSa haha u r rite i said it correct the first time thx

  • Well you answered that alot better than my google search! I did see you had already answered! 10 year's for one's living off feeders? WOW, that is impressive!!! Thanks for the info!

  • I'm not sure let me google.... I got 3-4 year's!!!!!! Can you belive that? What's cool is that they will return to your feeder year after year (so I've been told, so I guess I should have known they could live for at least a few years!) Also been told their offspring will come to your feeders as well.

  • omgggggg i want oneeeeee

  • Me tooooo! lol I'm sad I had to let him go but I knew he would be happy!

  • @juanluis64 no it is a wild bird! he would be sad if u dont release him. its not a pet.

  • thats soooooooo cool :D

  • Wonderful creatures, God made jewels with wings, amazing!!

  • shit i wouldve kept him thats so fuckin tight

  • Hummings do best in nature. What a blessing is to watch them fly free... and coming back to a person because they want to, not because of a cage

  • thats very nice and also very nice that you let him go again

  • i would almost cry missing him..lol

  • oh how cute

  • omg he is unbelievably cute!

  • Nice to see other people taking care of these little buggers.

  • SWEET!!! ..Lucky you!

  • I have the same fan as you!

  • WOW :) ..and you let him go too :) xxx

  • what else should they do?

  • Alot wouldnt have.. I could never cage a bird xxx

  • it is a felony in california to even own a feather of a hummingbird yet alone having one as a pet!

inmate1: "What are you in for?"

    inmate2: "humming bird feathers"

  • Oii! So cute!

  • i found a baby hummingbird with a broken wing. I took it in and nursed it back to health. I let it go twice and it came back, it would chirp at my back door, and then fly up and land on my head when it got hungry. so i showed it how to feed at the hb feeder, and it came back, landed on my head to say thanks, and then flew off. I see it at the feeder once in awhile still. They are so cool, and smart too.

  • Wow, that's amazing, deleteuall

  • @deleteuall man you gotta be kidding. That's so unreal. What a beautiful story!!

  • @deleteuall You did? Aw! I'm sorry to hear that. Was the hummingbird a boy or a girl?

  • that is too cute

  • oh wow! It likes you ;)

  • you have golden heart.

  • Wow, that was very kind of you. Even though it may not seem like it, that little guy probably really appreciated the air conditioning and you love. Great vid, he's a little cutie.

  • Very cool. Good on ya. :)

  • It wasn't tamed. It had a concussion. They hit the window and are dazed. As you can see he was wobbling. I got those a lot at the cabin. Real light birds.

  • i luv hummingbirds! we have some that come to our place every year. in fact i made a video about one, your welcome to see it!

  • aww how cuttte, that is probably a time u will never forget

  • Aw! How cute!

  • my father once found a humming bird, that was also dying, because if they dont find sugar in a couple of minutes they died, because they consume a lot of energy, my father found one and bring it home and also give him sugar with water when the bird was good again we flyied away, then he turned around and looked at my father, stayed there a couple of seconds, and then he left like if he was sayin thanks to him

  • you tamed it! goood job

  • hummingbirds are remarkable animals, perfect..

  • Did it occur to you to read the text explaining what was going on before you sniffed at it?

  • What an awesome story. I don't believe it has anything to do with god, as some posters do, but nature is a beautiful thing, for sure. I have a nest in the back yard and the babies are 10 days from flying away... So cool!

  • How sweet

  • bless your heart

  • wow... very cool! what a blessed day!! :)

  • Its strange how docile and trustful humming birds are. One dude found one with its beak bent, so he caughtit and straightened its beak out carefully, and after that, it always came to him when it saw him. They are sooo cute! I didn't know they could make tweet noises!

  • oohh

    i love the bird...

    how cutee

  • SO SO SO SO CUTE!!!!! Never seen a sweet little hummer like that. Bet ya it was a juvenile, but either way its adorable that it got so attached to ya.

  • DID IT GO AWAY

  • really?...mayb i might get a hummingbird as a pet...i never knew they had such a friendly personality or do i have to save its life to have it b friendly?...imma go do sum research on dat

  • i found one of those on the ground outside and i saved it frommy cat and kept it in the house a couple days it was very friendly for some reason

  • God Bless you for your kindness and selflessness. Oh yeah-and thanks for posting-it was way cool to watch!

  • What an awesome experience. How many people get to have a pet hummingbird? Even for a little while :D They're the cutest little things.

  • I am so jelous...lucky you and indeed good that you let it keep its freedom.

  • so cute

  • that is so cool. it was nice of you to let it go.

  • Wow.

I never realized just how small hummingbirds were.

  • what a lovely gift you were given for helping him..i'll bet you will remember this forever.

  • Nice video and nice story! Glad you were there to help this bird.

  • Aw what a cute tiny little thing!! Thanks for rescuing him, you're great! xx

  • SO cute!

  • Oh wow! That is so hard to believe! But so very cute!

  • Aww! What a little sweetie!

  • It looked like a juvenile hummer. Isn't it a treat to have them sit on your finger? They don't weigh much.

  • I can't wait for the hummers to come back this year!

  • also i'm retarted

  • i wish there where hummingbirds where i live
