i hate the word stabilization when it comes to the body. every single thing you do works your stabilizers. what do you think those muscles that are holding all your joints in place are doing? do people really think that when they do any kind of a movement they are somehow working everything but the "stabilizers?" no guys.... every movement is working the whole muscle.... you cant make them work by themselves you cant focus just on stabilizers you work everything altogether you have no choice

why not do that while holding the weight instead of letting it go?

that's a more advanced option with lighter DB's, but for starters a 25lb. DB would make the move much too difficult.

well it really depends on how strong the person is, but you REALLY have to stabilize your body with the weight
