Hey thanks for the comment. Sry a response took so long I am currently out of the country. I no longer have the car but I had the Agency Power muffler with rasp terminator mid-pipes.
I hope your joking.. thats a pretty dumb statement man.
I just dyno'd my car, with just the exhaust, and picked up a consistent 7-8 with my full exhaust, header back.
If you optimized the flow too much you would lose so low/mid range tq. With the setup of BMW's rear muffler you can only achieve a flow through style exhaust, not a free flow, this prevents the car from loosing too much backpressure.
how would you lose power when not only this muffler system has dynoed at a 12whp gain, but also when it is 30lbs lighter than the stock muffler? wrong statement
It's more about sound than gains, however, the full exhaust when coupled with headers, software and an intake will consistently put down around the 300rwhp mark.
You don't really get rasp fro mthe E36s in my opinion. Really noticeable on the E46 though, but not so much the E36. Not sure if it has to do with differetn resonators in the two cars, but never had a problem in the E36 in terms of rasp.

so how many horsepower this exhaust system is supposed to give you
teoirimia 2 years ago
none, if any it will take away a few. BMW puts a lot of r&d into their systems to the point a new one wouldnt be able to do much better.

you said you got 7-8 with a full exhaust? i'd hope so, that doesnt mean he will too. An is300 is a lot different than an m3 mate.

Dude, ....I own an M3, what did you think I was talking about?
Why would I post up gains I made on another car?
Full exhaust meaning that the cats and headers are still OEM, just the mid sections and muffler have been replaced.
