  • Thank you! ^^ I hope to have my own cafe one day after college, so this will be great practice.

  • Tjmilliner1011,

Thanks for the advice! Did you follow this recipe exactly? I made a chocolate cake recently. It was similar to this recipe, but with slightly different quantities and ingredients. I want to try this one too sometime though. It looks like it is richer.

  • Yes, indeed!

  • I used all-purpose flour and I got great results.

  • Ekuboim, would you please respond and tell me which type of flour you used for this cake? It looks very good, and I want to make it sometime, but should I use all-purpose flour? Regular cake flour? Regular self-rising? Self-rising cake flour? This recipe has no baking powder, so I was wondering if it was necessary to use a self-rising flour in order for this chocolate cake to rise properly. Or is the baking soda alone is sufficient in this case?

  • You said that it could be any kind of flour, then you mentioned cake flour, and self-rising. But different types of flour will give different results. Self-rising has salt and baking powder added. I was curious which type you used for this chocolate cake?

  • It looks real easy and simple to make. I might try this out.
