  • Oh, i nearly forgot. The CoCo was the first computer I discovered to have the TRON command in BASIC. I later found out that TRON and TROFF were debugging tools, TRace ON and TRace OFF, would display the program line numbers on the side of the screen as the program ran so you could narrow your search when debugging a program. Heck, I just wanted to talk to TRON from the movie. Can you imagine my surprise when I typed TRON and hit ENTER and the computer displayed OK instead of ?S/N ERROR. :)

  • I was picked on by my Commodore 64 friends for having the original TRS80 Color Computer but I really liked it. I think it had a really nice collection of software and obviously had a following since Family Computing magazine (before it became Home Office Computing) offered programs you could type in for the IBM PC, PCjr, Apple and the TRS-80 CoCo. Tandy offered some great games as well, especially Doubleback, which I'm glad to see you did a video for.

  • I always end up paying way too much for these computers, great bargain mate.

  • A few months back, I saw a relatively local "for sale" listing for a TI-99/4A (with cartridges, power supply and joysticks, etc.) on Craigslist.

I contacted the seller via E-mail and explained that I was a collector. We exchanged E-mails back and forth about 80s memories of old computers and how she grew up with this particular TI-99/4A and in the end, she decided to give it to me for FREE, as well!

Computer and all components were in SUPERB condition!

  • Damn man $3 for the whole Colecovison? Damn I am starting to think I over paid for mine. Oh well I love it! Awesome Tandy there.

  • nice catch :D
