@tlatosmd I don't know if this is Technicolor or not, but I doubt that it is. I have some knowledge of this stuff as I was a projectionist at a drive in. I just looked up Technicolor on Wikipedia and it says that it required a large bulky camera that couldn't be purchased but had to be rented around this time period. It also says that a process to record all 3 primary colors on a single strip of film was produced in Germany by Agfa, that would be my guess.

Technicolor was a heavy, expensive Hollywood technology that required cameras the size of cars, whereas all of Eva Braun's home movies are hand-held.
@tlatosmd There's a pic of a Technicolor camera from the 1930's on the Wikipedia page, while it's large, it's not the size of a car. In fact it's only about half the size of the Century projectors I used to run. I will agree every every pic I've seen of Eva Braun taking pictures, she had a small hand held, certainly not a Technicolor. I have read repeatedly that he was utterly devastated over having had to put Blondi to sleep but he couldn't think of anything else to do with her. @tlatosmd I don't know if this is Technicolor or not, but I doubt that it is. I have some knowledge of this stuff as I was a projectionist at a drive in. I just looked up Technicolor on Wikipedia and it says that it required a large bulky camera that couldn't be purchased but had to be rented around this time period. It also says that a process to record all 3 primary colors on a single strip of film was produced in Germany by Agfa, that would be my guess.

Technicolor was a heavy, expensive Hollywood technology that required cameras the size of cars, whereas all of Eva Braun's home movies are hand-held.

In fact it's only about half the size of the Century projectors I used to run. I will agree every every pic I've seen of Eva Braun taking pictures, she had a small hand held, certainly not a Technicolor. I'm not that familiar with Agfa or 16mm Kodachrome, everything I ran was 35 mm. Thanx for the info, Cheers!!

@Epionea For numerous reasons. One being that if you play the victim and make your adversary look REALLY BAD to everyone else, you can get away with more heinous bullshit than if you just play it straight and admit you got kicked out of yet another country for trying to screw people over and generally being obnoxious. Yea Iv never heard strong cases for more than 4 million,&thats anyone up to 1/4 Jewish that perished in Europe during the War. Consider that this was a War in which 80 million died anyway. Plus Eastern Europe was a cesspool of violence famine disease and death not just due to Nazi invasion but also Soviet oppression&Ethnic infighting. I think that the idea of 6 million Jews mechanically mass murdered is a gross exaggeration that they use to single themselves out as victims&gain more power.

I have read repeatedly that he was utterly devastated over having had to put Blondi to sleep but he couldn't think of anything else to do with her. He even considered turning her loose on the streets of Berlin but he was afraid some starving civilians would kill her and eat her. He knew that if she was alive when the Red Army got to the bunker, they'd do hideous things to her. What a terribly sad, tragic story this man's last days were. My heart is broken for him and his poor dog.

I find it hard to believe that one could have such love for a dog, but blatant and terrible disregard for fellow humans (jews, poles, etc.) I understand (although I do not agree with in any way) his beliefs and reasonings behind the holocaust as well as the ideology of the Nazi Party, but still... there is something wrong with this picture.

@Burnrae I just simply do not see evil in this man. I think we've been fed a great deal of misinformation over the years and have come to the wrong conclusion. I have my doubts that the holocaust was even anywhere near on the scale they try to say it was. I think it was an exaggeration and really, it was just a bunch of camps like the Americans did to the Japs during the same
