Great ,but you should hear the drummer from early racer x his feel is better than the drummers that Paul plays with now..... even though Paul's drummers now at the present are great
indeed buckethead's was/is a jackson..which incidentally also has a killswitch button on it similar to the scott ian model (anthrax)..you can see him play in on the bonnaroo dvd from '03 or '04
LOL The whole thing is pretty much a solo. I wanted to leave some space on my card for the numerous pictures I took. Plus the security was rather tight and standing at an isle seat with a (pretty large) camera stuck to my face for too long would have been a problem...
What I really loved about this video is that the guitar Paul is playing in this video is the same Ibanez V model that I have owned since 1982. I have 16 guitars in my collection and anytime I have a really difficult song to play I always turn to this guitar after all these years. I just wish Ibanez would re-issue it as my old rocket roll is still holding out but it is'nt getting any younger.
Bruce was actually in a signed major label band that toured opening for Nickleback like 2 or 3 years ago. I forget the name, but one of the lawyers from the firm I was represented by signed them. And it was a big deal. They ended up getting dropped unfortunately.
Bruce was also in The Scream that was just taking off when its singer John Corabi left to join Motely Crue.
Bruce did some instructional vids and clinics etc.
guys can you quit comparing paul and bruce they both are amazing and different and it's not about how many records you make it's about your playing and they both are very good at it!
Definetly not better than paul gilbert!! if he was better why are there so many records out with paul gilbert's name on it and not bruce bouillets??? - dont get me wrong.. hes a great guitarist too.. but not like paul gilbert. In fact, bruce was actually a student of paul gilberts back when he went to MIT.
well heis with bruce again, i think it sounds better the old way when its being harmonized, if hes playing it the old way with no harmonization, it sounds like somethings missing
depends. the first time i heard that song, he was alone on the guitar, and i was in heaven while listening to it. Now , when i listent to the old song, it sounds wierd ...
yeah, i guess however you hear the song for the first time will set the bar, the first time i heard the song was the original way, so with no harmonization it sounds wierd, unless hes doing the "dumbed-down" version of it, which i think sounds pretty sick
I think they would, but Juan is in the mars volta and Scott is in Judas priest. Priest has a new album coming out soon so I don't think it's gonna happen for a while
Go ahead and laugh all you want, but it's not funny. Paul has severe, irreversible hearing damage (tinnitus) from years of playing too loud, so he wears ear protection now. Eric Johnson also wears similar protection, since he has the same problem. So, a lesson here, kiddies: turning up to eleven may seem cool, but you'll regret it later.
Bruce is a cool dude. Got to meet him back in the day when I was in college as a guitar major.

I hate that damned spotlight which didn't put Bruce work on light ! He deserve much more attention, he shouldn't to stay in the shadow !

the awesomeness of these harmonies is really something you have to experience first hand. The same with Technical difficulties.

The one from Street Lethal or Scott Travis? I like Travis.
sanjak 3 years ago
Scott Travis awesome.
After he left RX he went to record Painkiller with JP and has been withe them since
BaphometsWarrior 2 years ago
Travis still played with RacerX on most all their releases even as he played with Priest....
DGP2 2 years ago
RX broke up, and he left for Priest.
Whe both RX and Priest reformed, he played with both.
I'm talking late 80s, not early 2000s

what type of guitar is Paul playing. I've seen Buckethead play the same exact one and it sounds great.

its a flying V Ibanez

Pauls guitar in this video is, like PerpetualxBurn said, an Ibanez. The one Buckethead used is a Jackson though.

no bucket has this ibanez as well.
bingeandgrab92 2 years ago
bucketheads V is a jackson from the custom shop, actually.
MParseface38 2 years ago 4
MParsefeace38, it is known he has the 2 custom jacksons. i am not referring to those. He has this ibanez V as well. Get ur facts straight.
bingeandgrab92 2 years ago
you're right, just looked it up. but he barely uses it, does he?

shred isn't music. everybody can teach to play fast, but making music is a bit more difficult.
paul can make music, he does what he likes to do.
