Does the Blu-Ray/1080p version have this blue tint by default? I mean the color scheme, it is different from the original version. The original version is brighter, more "yellow"-ish/glowing, it has that typical lighting that makes it look like a mid 90s movie and "feel" more 90s. This version is darker, has a higher contrast and that blue color correction, which makes it look more modern. I want to buy it, but I'd like to see both versions, so I guess I have to buy the DVD and the Blu-Ray?

Awesome scene, Val Kilmer's look of sheer bewilderment is flawlessly delivered. Heat is an outstanding film, as are most of Michael Mann's features.
