  • Brings back memories when this video came out. Great crying song.

  • great memories, I was 14 in 1988, this music is not played over the radio because it was not the subject of novels here ..

  • the video skips like hell you tube needs to fix it...

  • Remember the days i spent hours at night watching videos like this on Hit Video U.S.A. and also memories of some ladies

  • Awwwhh!!!! now I can die...I love this song so much! Its just emanates so much heart and soul. I just like to sound as kid now I feel it! Loving ya even more, Breathe!!!!!

  • This song makes me cry every time. Damn.

  • @thelunalily Me too

  • i think at that time and era...people produce music with so much freedom..passion..so pure and innocence and the lyrics was just amazing... so fortunate to had lived through those days to enjoy such a wonderful music of the 80's..the early 90's ...it's my favorites too....maybe i am stuck in the 80's.....whose next to listen again?

  • @23lanyu I share those sentiments!

  • ive listened to this for an hour and im still not tired of it

  • this song is over 20 years old but could easily be a hit within the last 10 years.

  • Masterpiece!

  • Songs are simply not crafted this intelligently any more. What a lame brained business the music industry has become. A perfect song from start to finish...absolutely terrific. No auto tune, no screaming, no backup dancers...just MUSIC that is well performed. The way it used to be and still should be.

  • @DeeCeeCT Dear Jove, you've stated my sentiments perfectly. The song alone makes my heart melt whenever I hear it.

  • favorite classic early 90's ! still so beautiful !

  • @23lanyu It's 1987-88 actually, but yeah this one is beautiful. It's one of my all time favorites. The British New Wave of the 80s created some of the best music ever. Nothing before or since compares. What was it about that decade that so much great music was produced?

  • I miss my bestfriend. I wish it were me who was murder and died in your arms instead of mine.

  • I am only 25 years old, and this music means so much more to me than what is out there now a days. I also listened to this song when my first girlfriend Alyssa passed away when I was in 9th grade. I felt as though as this song was for her. I miss her so much. She was such a good person. I always stood up for her no matter what. She was a sweet heart. R.I.P. Alyssa. This song is for you sweetie. ;_;

  • Just so beautiful...and classy!

  • Awesome song. I remember this when I was in high school.

  • classic.

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS OF ALL TIMES!!!!! TO BAD SO FEW PEOPLE ARE FAMILIAR WITH IT!!!!!! From my wonderful childhood!!!!

  • This song and his voice is sooo beautiful...80's songs will be the best ever.

  • Man, I can remember trading in some PS2 games and buying this CD at Gamestop back in 2004, what a good trade that was :)

  • Awesome, they dont write them like this anymore!

  • Such and amazing song... covering an extreme range of lows and highs both emotionally and sonically. A true musical masterpiece.

  • There is nothing like this song!! The best song ever written. Chills and tears everytime I hear it. Passionate lyrics of real human emotions. I love this song and yet it hurts to listen to it. :(

  • chills.

  • People who comment on the number of dislikes are CUNTS.

  • LONG LIVE 80'S MUSIC!!!!!!!!!

  • 25 people were born in the 2000's when most of the music is cr*p.

  • back when you had to have a voice..that's why i go to you tube. great music.

  • P.S..She didn't know I liked her.

  • pure class who needs todays music, not me

  • Words could never express how much I love this song.

  • Sorry it's available now

  • This song never gets old! and never will!

  • David has such a beautiful smile, his voice is amazing, he is absolutely gorgeous

  • glory days of american music and america itself.but now...but now. They say that music reflects one's culture and heritage.so now hhaaa.i hope america wakeup soon before its too late

  • @keiweak sorry mate but what's this video got to do with america?

  • @FlyingHogini sorry lad what i mean of america is not united statesof america ,but the entire western hemisphere as a whole, just correcting myself.

  • This song takes me back to the late 80's to mid 90's. I had it on a cassette tape. I used to listen to this particular cassette, and it makes me think of when I was a teen, feeling lost and lonely in the world and then somewhere in the middle of it all... I found love, lost love, found love again, had my heart broken, and broke other's hearts, gave myself to the wrong guy, but learned a valuable lesson along the way. Life is beautiful :)

  • wow i just stumbled on this by chance.. love it <3 this is from way back

  • This song is simply amazing... I've only just discovered it now. Proof that truly good music doesn't get old.

  • very well written song.

  • Love Youtube to listen to great songs from the past!

  • I love hearing this song at night!

  • this song never gets old..

    always provides me strength

  • i love dis video since i was 8 years old

  • I love you breathe. Smack! Ass. Thiago

  • loved this song when I was younger, even now!

  • This song still has great memories for me. My husband and I were married in 1991 But I had left him in the summer of 1990 to go back to safford az from Tucson but he had followed me shortly after to profess his love. I have not looked back ever since,

  • HERZSCHMERZ ABER WER WARS?

  • This was one of my fav songs growing up..<3

  • Does anyone else think if you close your eyes and listen to this you could be listening to Alison Moyet, another great singer from the 80s. Click like if you agree or dislike if you don't.

  • Man, I am strolling down the best of memory lane right now. I do have to say, this song is dedicated to my favorite NFL team right now. We aren't doing great at the moment, so here's to the chargers!!

  • The 80's.....the last great English invasion. Time for another one....overdue.

  • I always loved this song. I didn't see the video until I started watching YouTube, and it's too bad actually. It's very beautiful, and proves that videos don't need to be racy or violent.

  • Beautiful. Simple. Elegant. What happened to music like this?

  • This song never gets old!

  • i played this song for my wife and i before i left for iraq it was a special night and song

  • I love this song. When I miss my mother who passed away 1 1/2 yrs. ago I play this song. Great band, great song. What ever happened to Breath. They are an amazing band. Yes I have to agree the 80's music is wonderful. Lyrics are so meaningful. Timeless music.

  • Love Breathe, this song especially. Nothing compares to the music of the 80's or ever will. Thank you Youtube!

  • Great song to unwind to after a long day at work!!

  • the pinnacle of cheesy slow-dance frat boy preppy rock

  • UUUUYYYY MANEJANDO EN LA NOCHE Y LLOVIENDO CON ESTA ROLA Y LAS CALLES SOLAS, LOS SEMAFOROS FLASHEANDO, AY DOLOR

  • This is one of the bests songs of all time! Love so much!

  • great song. i have it's album All That Jazz. This one and How Can I Fall are personal favorites. Believe me when i say: music will never be this good again. That's why it is up to us to keep the great music of the past playing to teach these kids growing up in the "beiber" "gaga" era what real music is.

  • This song takes me back to being a teen girl and losing my first love. I would play this song over and over and pray that someday we would be back together. It is funny at that age it feels like the end of the world and so serious. Then one day you realize that life goes on and you find new love, better love. The 80's had so many beautiful, very moving songs. I just love the 80's sooo much! I have so many good memories of fun times then. It just ended way too quickly. A blink and it was gone.:-(

  • @thecarebearhideaway I couldn't have said it better..so true

  • @vipent5 Thanks. That is real nice of you to say. :-)

  • @vipent5 I know what that hurt feels like! It happened to me & this song was on the radio when i was going thru this..same thing when i lost my first love. I listen to this song &....I am write back there & I'm a Guy!

  • @thecarebearhideaway if you dont mind, how old r u back then and now?

  • @jejin11 Ahhhh now , a lady never reveals her age in public. Where I come from, it is impolite to talk about one's age. No offense to you but some things a lady keeps private to strangers. I will tell you I am from the South so that should give you some indication. But I will tell you this. I was " on the edge of 17" back then so there is your * hint * :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway ur like 41 now? hands to heaven was released in 1987 and your saying your 17 back then, so if i was not mistaken you were born in 1970. not bad, not old enough btw, your from south? what south?

  • @jejin11 I am a southern girl. Alabama to be exact. :-) Not old enough for what I might ask? hahaha :-D

  • @thecarebearhideaway Songs like this always got placed on the mix tapes we always swapped. And yeah, over way too quickly!

  • @carlj1964 Heck yeah they did! Those mixed tapes were the best werent they? I made a ton of them back then! :-D

  • @thecarebearhideaway your name is not Brenda is it?

  • @naughtyvalues Nope, sorry, not Brenda. Lanette it is ! :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway lol, Just wondering I had a love like that once, she cried when i had to leave, it broke my heart! thought it may have been her, this song makes me think of her

  • @naughtyvalues Oh Ok. That is cool. I am sorry to hear about your Brenda though. Maybe someday you will find her again. :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway I hope so too. she was one of a kind! hope you had a great weekend,

  • @naughtyvalues Thanks! :-) I hope you had a great weekend too! :-D

  • @naughtyvalues Oh that reminds me, I see you subbed to me but your channel is unavailable so I cant sub you back. Just thought I would let you know the situation! :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway You said it perfectly. There was just something magical about the 80's that I have yet to see repeated in any decade since.

  • @jotenor Awe.. Thanks so much for such a kind comment. I just write from my heart you know. :-) No, the magic that was upheld in the 80's has never returned and I dont ever see that magic returning so all we can do is cherish what we had and carry those special memories in our heart. Long live the 80's! :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway amen sister!

  • @bowserdr74 Thanks so much! :-)

  • it's funny how a song can spark a memory from years ago you havent thought of in while, I have always loved this song.

  • Great song!Shows the unbreakable bond of love.

  • I hear this song in my local grocery store.. haha its number one in my grocery store top 5.. haha

  • @1hottg I hear it in stores, too. I always loved it. The singer had such a gorgeous voice.

  • 44.50 pounds in cab fair? wow! In american dollars that would be insanely expensive!

  • They always played this song on soft rock/adult contemporary stations when I was younger.

  • This song makes me cry everytime. I remember i was three and we lived in Germany. My dad was away at Desert Storm and my mom used to put this on repeat and dance with me and my my sister and just cry. Sad but happy.

  • One of the absolute best songs of the 80's.Thanks so very much.

  • I remember being 6 years old and loving this song. Funny how now as an adult I can say I truely have felt the emotions expressed in this song.

  • This song envokes feelings a lot of us haven't felt since we heard the song for the first time. It breaks your heart but gives you hope, not many songs do that anymore. It is truly the quintessential 80's love song. Well done sirs.

  • Damn, this song is so beautiful it causes such an emotional rush that it almost hurts to listen to it. Hell, I can't even get through the whole thing without having to turn it off or stop it. lol Almost makes you fall in love even if you're NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP. Maybe that's the part that makes it hard to listen to? **clicks browser window close button**

  • sherry do you remember this song as well? how can i i will allways remember you great song

  • it really something

  • This song brings back memories.. I still love this song..

  • just brings back all the painful crushes you know you couldn't have but dreamed one day to be in a relationship with. sigh

  • Was the ballerina Bronwyn Thomas from the series Fame?

  • this is the first song i remember loving

  • Times that was considered pure love. Thumbs up, if you fell in love during the play of this song.

  • god i miss the days when music meant something,it had a meaning back then

  • So true

  • @cloudbuster66 So true.

  • This song is so powerful and emotive. Really gives me faith.

  • This is music!

  • i miss this song!

  • I miss good music... *starts tearing up* maybe, in the future, after music is destroyed music will reverse and come back full circle to its peak then beginnings and then star over. (I have an active imagination, don't mind me enjoy the song)

  • Someone had this song uploaded a while back, and whoever owns the rights to the video itself not had it taken it down, for some reason, that upload would've reached a million views by now, easily. Here's hoping this one reaches a million views quickly. :D

  • This is such a beautiful song. Is it a one hit wonder? Just wondering. I certainly don't ever remember hearing of them having any other hit, other than this beautiful ballad.

  • @Christinafan2002

certainly not a one hit wonder!

they had "how can I fall"- in 1988 and "don't tell me lies"in 1989.

after that things just wasn't going their way and they eventually disbanded in 1992.sad though, great music and great guys. but I do say with authority that for the short time they spent giving us their beautiful music, they have done more, given more, blessed us with more and the world has benefited more from their absolutely beautiful music than most WANNABE SINGERS OF TODAY!

  • @ronaldanil I know. I kinda wish they still had love ballads on the radio, like they did in the 80's and 90's. They also don't have any good wedding songs on the radio anymore. I mean, the stuff they play is good, but it's just not the same.

  • The girl in the video is my ex. We were together for five years and this video was shot just a week after I left her, stupid boy that I was. She didn't deserve it and I can see the sorrow in her face as she dances.

Beautiful song and for me, very very poignant.

  • God, it still takes me back to that broken heart. Wanted to spend every moment of my life with you. This was our song I wonder if you still think of me.

  • This was one of the most beautiful songs of the 80's. I never grow tired of it.

  • when i was little i thought he was saying "tonight i just might wake your ass"

  • @LTDANMAN44 Silly. Why would he sing "tonight i just might wake your ass"?

  • @Supersweetguy i was really young and didn't know either. I just thought thats what he was singing

  • Love, love, love all Breathe numbers!!!

  • god i miss this kind of music

  • Great lovemaking music. Takes me back to the summer of 88 when I used to work at Astroworld (before it was closed down and demolished.). I don't care how old this song is, it's timeless.

  • i like this song sooo much ....miss those days and the music !

  • I do agree with you, pimpmaster. Its not only the same as in year 87. it is getting better everytime i'm hearing this song...

  • what can you can expect???? it's from the 80's...ALL THE BEST......

  • i dedicates this lovely song for all girls

  • I'm going to request this song at my 8th grade dance this year

  • I mute commercials, and read comments during them!

  • Breathe hit #2 in Billboard, 8-6-83. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • Ah the 'slow set' eh, happy days. If she said yes to a tune like this, it was like all your Xmas' coming together at once! Dancing cheek to cheek, intentions pure and simple. A time when a kiss goodnight was enuf to keep you awake all night replaying it in your mind

  • @spuddiem thats so true great memories

  • @spuddiem Well said, I do miss those days, when a kiss would send shivers down your spine, there was always something special about the first kiss...

  • @spuddiem I danced with a girl one night and smelled her perfume on my shirt all night...should have asked her out but never did...was an innocent time...miss the 80's sometimes

  • @spuddiem Awe!! Sweet!

  • Great song, visuals, vocals- an bonafide 80s gem

  • this would be an awesome song to make love to with your special lady...

  • Reminds me of someone, wherever you are please take care..

  • nothing beats the 80s songs...

  • beautiful singer , beautiful song..

  • With all the renditions from almost an uncertain number of other singers, specially here in the Phil the original still gets the mix of the sound perfectly. :D

  • I was born i n 1979, but I must agree the 80's had some really good music.

  • I just wanna nibble on his bottom lips! '80's baby for life!

  • @nenaqs Lol! Omg, you posted what I've been thinking all these years! This guy is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I find the singer so handsome. I always repeated watching the music video in my USB. where can I find you?

  • i miss my youth

  • me and my boyfriend danced to this song. our first slow dance. :)

  • The 80's had such a variety of flavor...you had the hairbands, metal, the pretty boy bands like this...all at the same time

  • On Playlist GayButGood.

  • i love this song, I was living overseas in Japan when I first heard this song in 1987- My parents were Youth Minist. for the High school kids trip that we were on ,I was only 6 or 7 at the time had to go with them and I saw this boy i had the biggest crush on i stuck around him like a lost puppy lol they started to play this song and I watched him dance with someone else :-( of course someone if his own age lol but he gave me the best memory of this song great 80s song.
