This is a dream I've had for nearly 50 years. I flew on a DC-7 from IDL to LAX and back in 1958 when I was 5 years old. My Dad flew for United and was copilot on the first DC-7 press flight from NY to SFO in 1954. Now my wife and I have signed up for 2 seats on this DC-7 from Opa Locka to the EAA convention in Oshkosh in a couple weeks. She's never flown on a propliner. She will either really dig it or hate me for 5 hours 40 minutes of noise and vibration! Thanks Carlos+Roger!
Hey! Where's the idiot who always manages to come around with his corporate jet and drown out the sound of the aircraft you're trying to capture on your video tape! Nice short show of the results of a wonderful DC-7 restoration! And again, glad you avoided the usual ever present jet sounds that would have spoiled this presentation.
Thanks to everyone involved ! What a great sight. I was only there for the 727's, l 1011's, airbus a300 and 757's, but my aunt was there for them all starting in 1945. I love this ! I thought I'd never see Eal in the sky again. Thank you for making it happen.
Awesome! Great sight and sound, and a real tribute to the entire restoration team.

@douglasprops Got to love em; I usually fly 1830's on a 3 but I love the raw power of the 3350's
