Great work. I didn't even feel like I was watching a Star Trek video. It felt like I was watching a video for the song. You captured the loneliness and divide just well and choose great scenes for the lyrics.
Because you don't watch the show, obviously. Or if you do, you're not connected to the characters. It's totally understandable that it seems cheesy to you if that's the case, but in context...wow. Not cheesy at all.

Well actually I watch the show ALL the time. I just believe that everyone has the right of opinion. ;) But I don't see the point of making silly vids of Kirk and Spock being gay. The Idea is pretty damn hilarous but the vids make it too much.
All right, all right, your opinion. But you must know that Kirk and Spock are deep and complex enough characters to warrant this kind of care. And Spirk is a great vidder -- I've seen Kirk/Spock vids that were truly lame and cheesy.

The most amazing thing is that it really is a happy ending. These two are life long best friends in real life. There is so much in this old cheesy show. I am glad the new movie brought me into it. That was really, really, really, really good. The way you combined the clips and music--especially using so much from "Amok Time", which goes perfectly with this song, just makes the whole thing really...how do I say this....believable. You can feel what Kirk feels according to what is happening and what the song lyrics are. I wonder what would happen if Spock ever retreated permanently into his cold shell of logic and unhappiess, where Kirk could not save him. Sweet and sad video.

You're very welcome. In all the incarnations of Star Trek none have (though TNG comes very close) matched the seamless comradely of the original series main characters. I feel like you've expressed that in some way here. It was just very enjoyable.

I really like this, oddly, don't find it so much 'slashy', but more like two friends parting ways. But it's a great vid!
