@kawentzmann thanks for the point out...I had almost forgotten about "Bull's Eye" & if memory is correct, it is a different version from these two...the ventures were known to have somewhat of a confusion factor by renaming past songs and selling them as a new song.
oh yeah, i played this music when i was 15-19. great stuff. nice to see those Mostrite guitars again. these guys created a brand of music, Ventures music. awesome!!! great post, thanks.
@venturspace Thank you for the comment...I like that sound as well, I just discovered my multi-effects pedal does this( its a medium reverberation) :-))
Outstanding Selection(s)!! Outstanding Slideshow!! Darn good job... love the rare pictures of my favorite band! ESCAPE is one of my all time favorite tunes by The VeNtuRes!! The first time I head this awesome tune was in 1988 (I was 10 years old) when my dad picked up the LP: "Go With The Ventures!" I've heard this song thousands of times and it still raises the hairs on my neck!! BAD TO THE BONE!! ...Keep 'em commin'!! Thank you Brother Stu!!
Great tunes, Stu !! and also the sound, very pure. It seems not coming from a vynil. I have a question (remember I don't have a Ventures culture as you and your friends and subscribers) Bob Spalding is still in action ??
In answer to your question...Bob Spalding goes to every show due to him being the primary Bass player and he performs the songs that Bob Bogle used to do...two junkets to Japan and one to Canada, plus what ever they do in the U.S., he also has a couple of CD's out as well, I hope this got you closer to knowing the ventures.
Nice tracks....enjoy them !!
