@PhilthyBastard I'll be re-vamping these vids soon - fullfront view, with shit loadsa practice so as not to look at hardly anything of what I'm playing - that also means many takes lol
@jazzjackblackskull Not using Eb really. Use Fm7 and C7, mostly the pentatonics, but cram in some passing notes as well as Tim often chromaticises his solos at some point.
@weterr123 Addition: I'm talking about the fast bit. With regards to the slow-ish part, before the dissonance, then yes, Eb, Fm7, C7 and Bb7 are all used.
@thefriendlywolf thanks man, that's what I appreciate: feedback, so thanks a lot. If you haven't already, check out my other vids, especially Ten Foot Cock And A Few Hundred Virgins
@Tom5255 I tend to play around with C7 and Fm7, 2 of the main chords in the song. If you play around with the scales of the chord that you are presently on* each time in the solo, you can't really go wrong.
*that is to say, go from scales of Fm7 to Bb7, then to Eb6 to C7.
Hope this helps, see my tutorial for other parts of song if stuck
I love tim minchins work, and I have my own cover of this song, but i would never post it on youtube, due to the fact i would be chastised at school. Just wondering what is the response from people you know?
@doncrab1950 Thanks, the response so far has been very good, so far the only negative feedback is below this, regarding my vocals; I don't profess to be a good singer (see trial run of this - description), but most people say I sound ok, whether I know them or not
you rock
