this game is far from a "standard button masher", if you want to live through the whole game you are going to need to mash buttons in the form of combos. and be quick about it, you will not get through the Ninja difficulty mashing, or an of the other difficulties for that matter. the combos really help quite a bit.
This game is really hard, and also really good. I would say it's in my top 5 XBLA games... So if you aren't a pussy and scared of hard games like this reviewer, give it a go!

Arcade games can be well rounded, fully developed experiences with coherent stories and excellent graphics.

me and my friend are currently trying to beat this on samurai mode. the game first got me hooked with the massive amounts of blood and finisher moves. More games should have lots o'blood options and finisher move sets.
stay in the air with the blade til the Freaks jump, then grab them. you can also hug one of the corners, keep them at bay with the shotty, then juggle them with the machine gun. when you get to the boss you can hover in the air by the wall, wait for the boss to jump, then slash him with x. thats the safest method, however you can try what prettyangry just said.
i can almost garentee you guys picked up this game played it for about an hour couldnt get past a certian level so you quit and decided to trash it.lol whats up tis game too hard for you so called industry profesionals??

i have next to all of the arcade games on offer on the marketplace and they can be just as fun and addictive as full games. I use them mainly for coop or to relax, dishwasher is one of the best i have, which is saying alot since i have almost all arcade titles

Nah, you can access it with silver. Some of the new stuff is limited to gold for a few weeks, but then becomes available to silvers.

what do you expect? it's a frekin arcade game
most arcade games dont focus in story lines they mostly put effort more on gameplay.

Well look at story driven arcade titles like the recently released shadow complex.
Arcade games can be well rounded, fully developed experiences with coherent stories and excellent graphics.
When i buy an arcade game, i honestly want to feel like im getting more than my moneys worth, just because they're bargain titles, i dont want them to feel as cheap as this dull as dishwater dishwasher game.

Yeah story isnt everything, i picked up Virtual On Oratorio Tangram yesterday *i used to play the hell outta it in the arcades in like 98' so it was a must buy for me*, and even though story is sparce and the graphics are outdated, the gameplay still a ton of fun.

This is the gayest thing ever since IGNorants rated godhand 3 out of 10 and made the most gay guide for it ever! (It made me and my friends cancel our paid subscriptions and no one will ever regret ever)
And to believe the guide actually cost money -_-
Called PRO godhand tips:
- Make sure you pick up the fruit for energy... NO SHIT IGN!
-Make sure you pick up all the coins to get money. (I give up)
-Punch the enemy while they are busy taunting you (they only taunt you once they get you down)

I always use IGN, but I didnt agree with this review...
I thought the game was really good, def worth 800pts. Its my 2nd fav arcade game (Castlevania is the first :D)

me and my friend are currently trying to beat this on samurai mode. the game first got me hooked with the massive amounts of blood and finisher moves. More games should have lots o'blood options and finisher move sets.

with the katana do the followin combo
X,X,X,DOWN+X,(to throw up)
and while in air X,X,Y,Y,Y(very deadly) or DOWN+X(throw up higher) or change to arsenal and shoot him while in air
Then when fighting the boss use B when him charges into you (like the story mode) and use the arsenal later when he teleport above you
If you can't still beat it send me a message and I will tell you my gamertag

stay in the air with the blade til the Freaks jump, then grab them. you can also hug one of the corners, keep them at bay with the shotty, then juggle them with the machine gun. when you get to the boss you can hover in the air by the wall, wait for the boss to jump, then slash him with x. thats the safest method, however you can try what prettyangry just said.

so ur gonna review this game and say next to nothing about it?? not mention it has 50 arcade levels that are local and online co-op aswell as playable on your own..your not gonna mention that you can upgrade your health,dish magic and weapons..not gonna mention you can find hidden guitars and play a solo?? very very bad review for a good game
