The ones they made on the video are the rubber textured type and look pretty disgusting. The soft/silken tofu is far superior and its what new tasters should try first.

In fact, if you go to an Asian vegetarian restaurant of any worth, you'll probably find dishes that'll change your entire mentality about vegetarian food, and tofu in particular. Find a Buddhist temple near you, go in, ask them if they'll allow you to eat with them during meal time in exchange for some volunteer service or something, and you're bound to find some heavenly tasting food. You might be shown a whole different culinary world if you would keep your mind open a little.

All these HIM vis are interesting and all, but not appropriate for tofu. Proper tofu is supposed to be hand made, similar to cheese. This is just mass manufactured BS. The "jalapeno flavored tofu" part made me go "argh".

Tofu could be very delicious. The narrator is right; tofu tastes like how you flavor it. There's the familiar firm tofu, used for teriyaki for example, and then there's the soft tofu, for soup. Silken tofu can even be eaten cold like flan by adding sweet syrup. Tasty.
