Did he admid he whas there? And that he whas drunk? he said nothing about the event, accept that it whas a non-event (which is not a word anyway).. In Dutch there is a nice expression.. 'wie zijn billen brand moet op de blaren zitten' wich translates to.. 'He who burns his bottom has to sit on the blisters'.. Meaning, suffer the consequences of your own actions..
