  • Wooow....nice bike and video

  • @simon44: Simon....... Harden the fuck up

  • i want one !!!

  • okay.. now I have to win the lottery too ... :)

omg.. what? fuel reserve light missing? .. I guess I need it..

and.. a better bike seat position I suppose...

    ok, no matter..

mhh.. I'll think about it after the lottery winning!!

  • more and more bikes these days have no fuel gauge . big problems !

  • KTM...if you are listening.... BRING this bike to CALIFORNIA!!!

  • The low seat ruins it for me. I'm 5 '11 so its a no go i'm afriad. Plus its a KTM so its only a matter of time before parts start to give trouble.

  • Strange, I'm 6' 4 (193cm) and I was amazed at the comfort, still being able to get my knees against the tank (usually the chunks that are taken out of the tank for your knees are to low for me..).

I did think the pedals where WAY to high though, but you can easily adjust those I saw though.

  • @simon44

Bull, I'm 1m95, and this bike gives me almost the same comfort as the 800 GS...

  • @StijnSpijker I can only comment based on what hes said. Hes recommended this bike for smaller people and hence why I said thats a dissapointment. I love KTM to bits btw but no one can doubt their very unreliable. Its a real shame. They've only one main dealer in Ireland too :(

  • I found my type of bike, now I have to win the lottery XD

  • Hell of a bike... :0

  • Went to the dealer yesterday to talk about finances. Got a fair deal trading in my Adv. The 990 SM i currently the funest thing on 2 wheels right now....and the SMT is even better. Change the sprocket, remove the clutter and change to Wings.....Compairing the Beamer and the Smt is like compairing black and white...

  • I hope they bring it to the USA but I don't see the comparison to the F800 this is a much better bike. And why does BMW call it a F650GS if it's a 800 ??? and why do they cost so much and why is the maintance so costly and so on and so on. I guess I'll never be a BMW rider.

  • I'd buy a R1200R, but that's another story. The SMT is so far ahead of the F800 series (any of them) except on pure dirt roads (which the SMT isn't aimed at at all) that it's really silly to even bring that comparison up. I can see this bike going up against a Multistrada, or the new Tiger 1050 and such, but I think the KTM would win in most situation tests.

  • hahaha.... you are stupid!!!

yea... you are probably from USA, and you are ADV rider LOL

  • Comparing the F650/800 with SMT says you don't know much about either the BMW or the KTM lineup and where each one belongs.

  • Those 2 bikes have nothing in common and are aimed at completely different buyer profiles and riding styles. The SMT can't touch the BMWs in the dirt, but then again, it's not made for dirt, and the 800GS would loose sight of the SMT on twisty roads (being based on the SM) after first 3 curves. Wanna compare a KTM to a BMW? Throw in the 690 Enduro R in the mix with the F800. If I needed a Dakar weapon, I'd pick the 690 every single time. Even the old 640 Adventure.
